The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon

Love the property & amenities. The check in process was quite a disaster. We checked in online before and the room said it was ready, so we headed out of the Grand Canyon Park thinking we were heading to the room and to eat. When we arrived to the hotel, it was not ready and were told it would be 40 minutes. We had our bags all ready to get up to our room and head to the restaurant downstairs with hungry kids in tow. We checked our bags at the front desk and waited for a confirmation call (mind you we were given no call tag or anything to retrieve our bags- they just wrote down our last name and room number). 45 minutes later we got the call the room was ready & went to retrieve our bags. We were told by a man behind that without a call tag we would not be given our bags… after 30 minutes of arguing and trying to prove they were in fact our bags, the worker finally went to look for them. We were told we had to fill out an incident report. The hotel is completely at fault for miscommunication and complete inconvenience. We lose around an hour plus of our one night stay.

A nice hotel. We got room a room on the second floor, right next to the elevator, mechanicsl room, laundry shoot and outside view was of air condition units and other building services. IT WAS CRAZY LOUD BOTH NIGHTS, WITH AC UNITS, ELEVATOR ARRIVAL GONGS, LAUNDRY SHOOT DOOR SLAMMING AND YOU COULD HEAR EVEYBODY GETTING ON AND OFF THE ELEVATOR. also no fault of the hotel, but we got a crying infant in the next room most of the first night. The room was nice and clean, the hotel was nice, just that room sucked to be fair.

Best hotel near the south rim of the grand canyon! Check in/out process was a breeze. They’ll email you with the steps how to get your key card thru mobile app. No need to line up in the lobby and you can just go straight to your rooms. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Great hotel to stay within 1 mile from Grand Canyon entrance. Very central location. Close to everything. Very reasonable rates. Very welcoming staff. They have hot tea and coffee. A nice lobby to relax. Rooms were nice and spacious. Will stay here next time I am in the area. Great for solo couples and families.

Hotel is very clean and quiet. Convenient to the Grand Canyon. However,having kids along in mind, I didn’t care for the bathroom sink being outside of where the toilet and shower are. Touching a doorknob before washing hands is kind of gross. I’ve stayed here before and don’t recall this setup. If there had been a bathtub, hands would be washed there before exiting. Thank you

The kids where in the pool 10 minutes before they cut themselves on broken tile.

We had a great stay at the grand. The inroom kitchenette was helpful to have especially when traveling with a toddler. The location was very convenient.

Nice dinner/bar at this hotel. It is extremely close to Grand Canyon so that a major draw for our family. Our teens enjoyed using the pool/hot tub.

Excellent hotel! Only negative was the jacuzzi was under repair but they did notify me well in advance that it would be closed. Very clean and quiet! Comfortable bed and pillows! Helpful staff! Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family.

This property was beautiful and convenient. There is shopping, restaurant and bar all onsite. The pool was a hit for my kids who loved it however the hot tub was small and would get crowded fast but was nice when in it. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Tusayan is very small so everything is next to each other which is convenient but you could do everything at the hotel too. Would highly recommend staying here.
