Just had an excellent stay here. Highly recommend. We stayed as a family in the Shasta Building. The room appeared relatively new, and in excellent condition. The beds were large and really comfortable and everything was spotless. The kitchenette was just what we needed. The dining area had something for everyone and was reasonably priced. Really excellent.

This was a really nice place to stay. Rooms were very convenient to the main facility were they had a food court, offering a variety of food throughout the day and it was reasonably priced. We were also by the blue bus pick up are, which was very convenient, so we did not have to drive anywhere. It was very peaceful, we saw a momma deer and her baby just down the road one night while we were walking. We would definately stay here again.

I booked this property for a Fourth of July stay. The location is great, but the lodge itself is not worth the price you’ll pay. The rooms are spacious, but the construction of the buildings is poor and you’ll hear every noise around you. I requested to change rooms after discovering that the people above us were extremely noisy, and proceeded to stomp around the entire first night we were there. I was ignored by the front desk staff who I spoke with when I made this request, so i was forced to be kept awake all night the second night as well. The staff didn’t seem to care about the problem until I told them I wanted to share my experience with their management, and by this point we were checking out. It’s unfortunate since the location is so convenient, but it’s just not worth listening to the kid next door crying or the people above you stomping around when you pay hundreds of dollars a night. You could get the same quality from a cheap motel.

The room was great but the noise from other rooms was not so good. We were on the first floor and could not sleep because the room above us had small children evidently sounding like they were bouncing off the walls till late in the evening. I would put families with small children on the first floor to avoid that as the walls are paper thin no sound proofing.

The property was new and very clean. The proximity to the rim and shuttle buses was great. The rooms are spacious. I loved that our family of five fit perfectly.

Overall, Maswik Lodge is nice for family visit. Front desk staff were nice and very helpful. Room was squeaky clean and refreshing. We just wish they had better restaurant food variety and quality.

We just returned from our trip to the Grand Canyon where we stayed at the Maswik. It was a great property! It was about a 10 minute walk to the canyons edge which was amazing. A couple of mornings I woke up before my family and I was able to walk down and go for a few hikes on my own. The hotel is very clean and has a gift shop and food court in the main building. This made it very convenient for eating and to purchase a few things we realized we forgot. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Maswik is a great place to stay. However, after paying top dollar for two rooms and bringing family, it was a rude surprise to have a barking dog next door to them. Embarrassing for us.

Well run, clean, comfortable bed, quiet at night. Quite adequate cafeteria-type/family-friendly dining.
