This is an older lodge type 2-story, close to everything and Grand Canyon views with a short walk or by car is best! The beds are very comfortable and rooms are clean. They provide all soaps in shower and at sink, even lotion. All bottle refillable type. Food was good and nice all you can eat salad bar at dining . Perfect place for families. I would stay here again.

Absolutely perfect. The Grand Canyon is so amazing. God is Grand. The Yavapai Lodgeis in the most amazing location- convenient yet secluded. My family loved it.

Yavapai lodge is very close to the visitor center and many other amenities like the general store. It is quite a basic lodge nestled within the Grand Canyon lodge. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and served our family of four needs. In any case, when you visit the park, you would want to stay more outside rather than inside. The rooms are eco friendly and helps the national park earn some valuable dollars to keep this pristine wilderness open to the public.

We enjoyed this place. I think someone brought a pet into the room that was supposed to be pet free because it had a faint odor, but not terrible. It was so convenient to everything in the park. The biggest issues were that the bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed and the building was t locked to the outside. That wouldn’t have bothered us so much, except we saw Grand Canyon Cookie Monster at Mathers Point earlier in the day, so my kids were paranoid. The kids were also disappointed there was no WiFi, but I was fine with that. They need time off devices. The room was nice and more modern than I expected. Very close (walkable) to convenience store, food courts, main lodge. Great for night sky viewing.

The stay in Yavapai lodge was excellent. The room was clean, we had great view on the wood, and room had a thermostat so we made it warm in no time. Location is excellent near the restaurant, and the market, and the bus stop. The only disappointment was that the room didn’t have a microwave, that would be very helpful, but we were told that they don’t have enough electric power to run microwaves. I can understand that. I would absolutely recommend Yavapai lodge to my family and friends.

Our plan was to have this place be our first proper family meal after 3 days on the road only to arrive and be notified that the restaurant was closed and had been closed for renovations; That information wasn’t updated anywhere on the lodge page or booking sites which honestly is deceiving. The only option was the tavern, which offered very limited options (bar food only), same story for breakfast, only option was a cheap cafe with premade food with an 1 day left expiring date. Once in the room we were only provided 2 towels in the room which wasn’t enough for a family of three; we called the front desk twice to request additional towels in a 2 hour period but never received them! Unfortunately, most of the staff encountered were rude and dismissive. The room had a brand new smart tv but no internet or cable which is kind of ironic, a bad joke. The room was comfortable, but with all the details mentioned above we didn’t really enjoy our stay. If you decide to book here, eat somewhere else before arriving, and bring a book or another electronic to unwind at night. We will definitely be booking somewhere else next time.

Enjoyed our stay, house keeping did not attend the room even though we asked for it. We were a family of five and stayed here for 3 days, and no one on staff communicated to each other. If we asked for anything no one brought the right thing. The room had no extra toilet paper, or body wash, when you are paying over $300 a night, you would expect a bit better service. The place felt like a motel 6

When checking in, the line was really long (although I think we arrived at the peak check in time of around 4.30pm). The room assigned to us, was later assigned to another family, which was shocked me as I was taking a shower (thankfully my husband was able to hold down the situation). Room in the East wing is dated and lacking cleanliness. The bathroom was miserable to use. There is however a good sized TV and beds are comfortable.

Room met the basic need. Bed was not suitable, it did not have a top sheet on the bed so the nasty comforter was the only thing. We didn’t notice until bed time so we made due until the second night. Came with a large group and the front desk made no effort to get us closer together since we had small kids. We expected more.
