Hotel Capstone

Convenient location for families visiting the University of Alabama.

We've stayed here a couple of times now over the past 8 years of two different kids enrolled at UA. Sadly, this place is so rough around the edges for the price. Of course, the location makes it almost worth it. One look at the vents in the bathroom and by the room door is cringe-worthy with a layers of dust bunnies hanging down. They are filthy. The bedding is flimsy and the place just feels worn out. We won't be staying here again.

Needed to stay for a family emergency. Arrived late, the desk clerk was extremely accommodating and helpful. Would have stayed longer but it was a game weekend and all the rooms were full.

The staff was wonderful in every way. Im an LSU fan that stayed on the Alabama campus and was treated like family

Deplorable. Room was open when we arrived. I don't believe the room was cleaned but bed was made. We were very late so had no time to pursue the issue. Based on my experience with the Very Rude maid the next morning I'm certain the room was not cleaned. We found hair in the bed when we got back late that night. So we just slept on top of the comforter. It was too late to make a fuss and doubt anything would have been done anyway. It's deplorable. The place is in such a great location. It's a shame that apparently they know this and don't care a thing about the quality. Beware, stay downtown and Uber to campus. No more expensive and far better experience. The Capstone should be ASHAMED of themselves. I come to Tuscaloosa almost every other week. I have two children at the University. I am not one to complain over petty issues but between the filth and dilapidated conditions of the room interior and the disgraceful manner in which the maid behaved towards my wife and I , I have no choice. I can tolerate a lot. But not the combination of the two. The place is a dump. Stay Away.

Beautiful boutique hotel! Delicious buffet breakfast. Comfortable beds and pillows too! The pool area is well maintained and offers many places to sit with friends and family

Hi … overall it was lovely and friendly. We will definitely return . Great value for money. Only one aspect that was disappointing . The housekeeping on our first day was not done at all until we called front desk and queried. We left at 7.30am and returned at 5.45 pm and our room had not been attended to by housekeeping at all. We had to go downstairs and wait in the bar while our room was serviced as represented. Other than this the staff were great. We hope this was just small ad gov oversight as we would live to make this our frequent hotel to stay in when visiting our son starting at University of Alabama in the fall 2022.
