We opted to stay here talking my son to UAB, we felt much safer here than in downtown Birmingham but still easily to get to there in a reasonable time. The staff was wonderful and polite and patient also polite to their own staff that they were teaching, and very sweet to us and my kids, I was called right after booking to confirm and was told to be careful of impending weather and not to rush which put my mind at ease since we were checking in late at night. Breakfast was really good, everything we could need and more and plenty of it, if they ran out they were quick to refill. Our room was clean and the beds were perfect, property was clean and I can't complain about one thing, 10/10 would stay again if I need to come back this way!

They tried… breakfast was pretty tasty.. but the girl was a bit overwhelmed due to the large number of families… front desk was friendly… but again we’re having to go to help in breakfast area. Definitely NOT an 8. Something.

Horrible!! Wish I wouldn’t have booked at this hotel. In desperate need of renovations. Rooms felt dirty. Bed was broken. Bathroom was ridiculously small. Shower was leaking from ceiling what I can only imagine was from the shower or toilet above us. Not appropriate for families. Smelled awful. Could not get out of there soon enough. Checked out and went to another hotel after 1 night. Of course they would not refund us for the second night booked, but I refused to stay there another night. Horrible overall!! Same yourself the time and go somewhere else.

This is my second time to stay and each time the room was very clean and comfortable; the breakfast was on-point; and the staff were so friendly AND they even remembered me from my last visit! It's like coming home to family at Sleep Inn Oak Mountain. :)

Nice clean room, and location to everything. The breakfast not so good. They had some kind of egg thing that looked like a -Hot Pocket for kids. Went to IHOP instead.

The hotel is in an area with lots of food options nearby (some even walking distance). The hotel stayed busy our whole visit but was never loud. The rooms were SMALL and the beds were full/double. Our family of 4 felt super cramped during our stay. Our room overlooked a truck and trailer parking so opening the curtains to make it feel bigger was not good because the view was less than desirable. The breakfast was simple but good. Waffles, bagels, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice. We were disappointed to find the pool closed (but this was my fault for assuming it would be open in May - I never asked this detail) My main complaint is the room and bathroom size. It was too small for our family of 4. We would not stay here again.

We - family and i, arrived on right date 8-24, only to find out our reservations were canceled because we didn't show up night before? Got our rooms straighten out after hour or so. One room needed to be accessible wasn't. Then the desk clerk checked someone into our room 2nd night whilst we were sleeping. AC unit blew out horrible odor. Will never stay there again

When I arrived, I was shocked to see the entry to the hotel had an unrealistic slop. As a wheelchair user, I had to have my kid push me up since it was super steep. Easy check in though and the first lady had good customer service. I was given a room on 3rd floor, since all wheelchair accessible rooms were booked. Small room and couldn’t turn around in but it’s ok. Second night after being in a basketball gym all day I come back to the lady at the front desk telling me the elevator is broke while on the phone. I asked how can I get upstairs? She was obviously overwhelmed, but she interrupted me to say maybe an hr or so someone will come to fixed it. For medical reasons I had to lay down fast. When I explained that she seemed more concerned with other people coming that booked another room instead of switching me and then having them in my room. She would have time to clean it, although I had it cleaned today. Both were standard rooms by the way. Finally she went saw my room was cleaned on the 3rd, switched my room to 1st. It’s gets worse. The walls are paper thin so I heard the same kids that broke the elevator (according to her) running up and down the stairs for over an hour. Finally I called and complained but they were unsupervised and the noise kept going until about 1a. At 6a the loudness started back I just ignored since I had to wake up in 1 hr. I hope the GM notices my review and changes are made.
