Embassy Suites Birmingham/Hoover

My family had a wonderful time. Very friendly staff everywhere. The breakfast was awesome and excellent opportunity to have some family time

Where do I start, (the wife) we only booked this room so the kids could swim for the day. Check in was at 4 within an hour we had young adults kicking at doors on the 3rd floor MULTIPLE TIMES! I had to call security... The pool was ice cold when it wasn't closed for some reason or another. When it was open it was full of teenagers from a baseball tournament to the point small kids couldn't even swim. The room wasnt very clean, the floor was sticky. Only one elevator worked and it took forever with all the people there. We did get to feed the kids breakfast in the morning is the only good thing I got to say about this place!

Lots of rudeness from employees , stayed without room key for 1 day and credit cards issues double $$ charge !! Finally got my credit card fix, but they were rude and impolite. They even called police on one of the families that were traveling with us denying they double charged his credit card and refused to provide print out.

First not our tv didn't work. For 850 and TV not working, that was terrible being my kid has to have a TV at night. The older lady that works at the desk in the morning is not friendly. She got mad when I asked for someone to come look at the TV once we leave...

Room layout is pretty awesome. We traveled with 2 adults and 11,8,&2 year old children. The hotel is huge and nice. Kids loved the pool and breakfast was top notch. The lounge area with tvs and a bar was one of the coolest parts to be honest. If I were traveling with friends instead of kiddos, I could see having fun hanging out there. Parking wasn’t bad at all, but I don’t think they were full. Will return in the future.

Good family friendly hotel.

We arrived and check in was easy, but upon entering our “premium suite” we realized what a bad move it was to stay at Embassy Suites. The room desperately needs to be updated, the table chairs didn’t match, one was a desk chair with wheels and one an old dining chair. The sofa was not comfortable and the sofa bed inside was old, squeaky, not comfortable and there was no bedding provided to use the sofa bed. There was some sort of gooey white stain on the skirt of one of the beds, 3 holes in a wall next to the other bed (we stuffed plastic in them in case a camera was behind the holes!) and food and drinks left behind in the fridge that had obviously not been cleaned. The 2 beds in the bedroom were comfortable at least, but that didn’t help 2 people in our family who had to sleep on the awful sofa bed. I can’t believe one night here cost almost $500.

Perfect for a family

My family and I had a quick stay in route to Florida. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large enough to accommodate a large family. This is newer hotel so it doesn’t have that traditional Embassy appearance. However, the bar was great to visit at night and the breakfast was great! I would definitely recommend this property and stay there again.
