Hyatt Place Birmingham/Hoover

I liked the convenience of the property with so much around like the Movie Theatre, Walmart, Gas Sations, and Chick-fil-A and it being close to the destination. The service and the ladies in the front were very pleasant including the cleaning crew but the hotel wasn't the best. Our fridge wasn't working when we got in so couldn't keep anything cold. Alerted the staff and they did a good job escalating the manner but took the next day to get it working. Microwave was also not working initally when we got to the hotel room. Breakfast was okay but could have been better. I did enjoy the pool area, conference room, and fitness center. All convenient. Overall, it's a decent place to stay for the convenience and having a lot of great areas to shop or spend time with friends and family. I think it could have been a lot better though

The hotel was clean, the room was clean. Good comfortable mattress. Spacious room with a sofa, plenty of space for a family.

Facilities badly need remodeling, sheets were dingy no shampoo in dispenser, breakfast seating inadequate, milk was soured for children’s cereal, breakfast way average to below average

Musty odor throughout, smelled like weed. No linens in room for pull out bed. Big stain on pull out bed mattress. Saw underaged kids checked in without supervision. Breakfast was ok but no black tea available. They had bagels but no cream cheese available. Seems like poor management

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However we booked a room with 2 queen beds and a pullout couch and were given a room with 1 king bed. The only other room they could offer us a room with 2 queen beds and no pullout couch. Only given 2 towels for a family of 5 and when we tried to call the front desk/room service it was a busy signal all weekend.

The service was excellent, very comfortable kid friendly, the breakfast excellent never seen a continental breakfast spread like theirs it was exceptional I recommend the stay to everyone.

I stayed here with my kid for a tournamnet at the Hoover Metplex. I felt safe. It was less than 10 minutes from the venue and was very easy to get to/from, lots of places to choose from for dining The staff was very kind The room is somewhat outdated but clean. NO bugs!! It met my expectations

We lived in Birmingham AL for all of our lives until almost three years ago. We moved to North Carolina. We chose the Hyatt Place because it had great reviews and was easy access to the interstate. We didn’t want to stay with family and put them out especially with us having our 2 1/2 year old grandson with us. It was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. When we go back, we’ll stay there again.

My family of 5 stayed in this hotel. It was a very quiet area and nice hotel. Beds were very comfy as well.

My stay started off really good I was there for a family event. The last night of my stay the water was out and the reception manager and staff kept acting as if the water would be back on soon. I couldn’t bath before my event but I had to attend because I was the host. Water never returned they offered to put me and my family in a so called sister property that was way below standards just unacceptable! No refund no compassion. I will never stay at this property again although it was convenient to everything I was in town to do. I come in town often and was hoping to make this my home away from home. But NO! Was promised compensation for the last night but never received.
