Holiday Inn Express & Suites Birmingham South - Pelham, an IHG Hotel

We were in town for a wedding. We needed to change for the wedding after driving to town and arrived well before the normal check in time. The staff helped get us in our rooms in time for us to dress for the event. I really appreciate the extra effort they put forth in helping us with this situation. We had an additional hour drive to the wedding from the hotel. My wife and I were traveling with her 85 year old parents and they were very concerned about the time issue. The staff here were all very helpful, friendly and we will stay here again for sure. We've been a guest here before and have always had a great experience. Also when we arrived there were several groups of people traveling with youth basketball teams. The hotel was quiet and we never knew the kids were there. Just a really nice experience. Thank you,

Great stay with a comfy bed and the pull out couch. Enjoyed the breakfast options and mixture of hot and cold foods. Kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and really wore them out. Only small suggestion would be to have some type of better grip on the ground around the pool. Got extremely slick when wet and my kids fell several times. Luckily they were pretty much walking, but surprised how slippery it got.

Initial meeting with the staff was excellent. They provided confident answers to my questions and check in was very quick and easy. Kids enjoyed the pool and the room was large and comfortable for the family. We did have a lot of trash at the end of the stay and the front desk was able to provide more trash bags for us to clean up a little before leaving. All the staff we met were wonderful and the kids LOVED making their own pancakes on the machine.

The suite is perfect for our family size. The staff has been very friendly.

At our check-in, Pam was fantastic. She was genuinely friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our family of six. The breakfast food was lacking. It was overall a good stay.

My family stays at Holiday Inn properties all the time and have never seen one in this condition. Dirty walls, filthy carpet on our rooms floor. We had a hole in our rooms wall that had obviously been there for some time.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. We wish our room was just as lovely as the staff but it was not. Our room smelled like mold and there was mold on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. The manager did call to apologize for inconvenience but advised she could not refund or accommodate a refund because we booked through a third party. My family and I will no longer be booking with this particular hotel.

There were kids running up and down the hall this morning making a lot of noise otherwise it was good.

This hotel is just what my family needed after a long day of driving on the interstate. It is clean, quiet, and conveniently just a few blocks from Interstate 65. The free continental breakfast, which is well done, is helpful as well. We've stayed here numerous times, and have not been disappointed at all.
