Sleeperz Hotel Cardiff

Excellent location, right next to multiple restaurants, there was no on site parking but the parking lot was just around the corner. Liked our rooms, had bunk beds for children. Only thing to mention was no locks in the bathroom so it was a but loud, but maybe that's a cultural thing? Since it's almost on the end of the street, you can walk all the way down to the Cardiff Castle which was beautiful!

The staff at this location go above and beyond. Best service I’ve had in a bit. I needed to keep a medication cold and the staff got me ice everyday. The location is steps from the Cardiff Central train station. A short walk and there are a ton of pubs, coffee, and restaurants. Great location for families and couples. I think I’d have felt pretty safe if in as alone. My husband and I opted for the bunk beds. A bit unconventional for a married couple lol, but we wanted the extra floor space. The beds were actually pretty comfy and great pillows. We will stay here again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel probably in excess of 30 times in the last 5 years and it has always been a good / great experience with friendly staff. My only reason for marking it down this time is due to Sali, who was on reception/bar duties after a few of us came back on Friday night after a Blondie gig and were having a post-gig drink and a little chat. We were told to keep the noise down as people may be sleeping. Mmm… maybe don’t have a bar open till 2:30am then, on the same floor as the bedrooms, - in your £180 a night hotel, happily selling £21 a bottle of wine at this time of night. I wonder if the staff go knocking on the doors of guests with loud / obnoxious children at 7am telling them to keep it down as adults may have been out till late on a weekend night - shamelessly 😉. I probably wouldn’t have mentioned this, or written this review at all if it wasn’t for the patronising, dismissive, rude attitude I received from Sali and the equally unhelpful doorman Saaed that I got when making these comments at the time.

This is a really good budget hotel. We spent a night here on a visit to Cardiff to an event at the stadium, We picked this hotel on price, location (city centre, 5 mins from the stadium, restaurants and bars etc) and it had good reviews. All that was left were family rooms and we had a large double and bunk beds but this also meant the room had plenty of space for two people. We were in room 122 which overlooks the railway tracks but there was no noise and we had a good nights sleep on a comfy bed. The room was modern, very functional, spotlessly clean, had quiet air con, the bathroom small but with a great shower. The nearest car park is the station but as this was closed we used pellett street which with the Ncp app is £12 for 24 hours and about 7 mins from the hotel. The reception staff were very helpful, welcoming and efficient and you get a link before you stay to check in on line.
