Future Inns Cardiff Bay

Terrible customer service. Toilet roll was dirty. Fridge is not working in the room. Kettle and base is not compatible. The one is compatible which I have to plug in the socket on the wall near floor. That is very very dangerous especially when you have kids with you.

Customer service well I would change the start go to the desk first thing they ask is can we have your card details for any damage to the room. As a guest coming to a hotel is that what I want to here. Put it on the online page you pay buy card you have the details. Hotel was very good,staff customer service very good. Clean,high standards from hall layout carpets rooms comfortable high standards. Distance to bay 10 minutes very good. Didn't try Thomas restaurant but looks good, prices bit steep for me. Hotel is very good parking is free linked to the Hotel need to register vehicle we used the stairs 5 flights that was clean toilets too gives a indication of standards. I'm straight to the point ideal for any millenium show or bay. As we were lucky the weather was sensational. Highly recommend this Hotel as one the best I have stayed in just work on the welcome to customers as it comes across robotic. I was impressed,I'm a huge reviewer if I'm putting this take note it's very good. Important that families with children know its what you need.

Great place to stay specially with kids. Good food and ambience. Very friendly staff. Free and secure car park.

We stayed for two nights, visiting family in Cardiff. The hotel staff were very helpful on arrival, and we were made to feel welcome. Breakfast was good, and plentiful. The room felt a little dated, with the shower over a bath with a curtain, but we were comfortable.

Although called Future Inn, it did feel almost 80’s like in its decor and facilities. The rooms are dated, and furnished like I remember my grans house to be. The iron/hot plate provided was inadequate and the in room hot drinks selection/presentation resembled that in a hostel I once stayed at in Albania. I found the bar staff quite rude (one guy in particular) who tried to serve me a jug of milk from the countertop for my small child - how long it had been there is anyone’s guess. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Convenient hotel for a trip in Cardiff Bay. Clean linens and bathroom though cushions and bedspread due a wash. Reception and breakfast staff were charming. Great poached eggs thank you! The sofabed was fine for our children but the mattress was very thin and lumpy and would not have been suitable for even small adults. The bathroom light could not be switched on and off at will, but came on about 2 minutes after being switched on (room 630).

Really enjoyed our stay at Future Inns. It was our base for a family reunion for my mum and travelling around Cardiff and up into the valleys. The rooms are really comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. We could walk to a mermaid quay in 10mins (not very scenic route but mermaid quay is!) . Parking is a real bonus. Staff allowed us to share a continental breakfast and coffees as we didn’t want the whole breakfast. (wifi a bit variable but suited our needs) would definitely stay again, great value for money.

Just a quick night for my kids and I. The evening/night manager was very friendly and certainly helpful. The beds were comfortable and seemed clean. The room was a little too warm, but I didn't spend much time trying to remedy that. The toilet could have been cleaner. Overall, we were happy with the room.

Not as good as what Expedia had said. It was a decent price for last minute and parking is for free, but expect to get what you pay for. Carpets are terrible Beds are old and stained. It was clean, as cleans as it can be, but we did decide to shower at the next hotel we moved to the following day. Noisy traffic all day a night. It’s not 4 minutes walking to the Cardiff Castle, but rather 30 minutes. The neon light was broken so my kids kept calling the hotel Futu, as that the only letter we saw. If you’re tight on cash, don’t mind a soiled carpet feel on your socks or feet, then this is your place. Replace the carpets, the beds, the bedding, and then I’d rate it as GOOD, not great, and not exceptional. Just being honest. The people were nice, but when you get to your room, your opinion of the staff has nothing to do with the enjoyment of the room.
