Unfortunately, despite booking a grande family suite and detailing that I was travelling with my son, we arrived to only one bed being made up. After a long journey, this was far from ideal. I alerted the receptionist who then had to find bedding from another room. I then had to assist the receptionist to drag a sofa bed into position and following her telling me that she had other customers waiting for her, proceeded to make up the bed myself. The bathroom door lock wouldn’t work and the bathroom door handle was broken and hanging off.

weekend stay for family birthday celebration. Great location, 10/15 min walk into York centre. Nice touch with the croissants in a morning however, the coffee machine really needs fixing. Slightly overpriced.

Well thought out kitchen and spacious room with breathtaking river view. Nice, helpful, efficient staff, especially the two guys who helped us plot our route home on Thursday evening. Only niggle: sounds from overhead room: child running around, chair scraped repeatedly at 3.00 am. We would return and recommend to friends.
