Hotel Indigo York, an IHG Hotel

I was a little disappointed with the hotel which is partly my fault for not reading the details with enough detail. I was hoping for a small family run or small company run hotel. This hotel is very similar to a Premier Inn. Rooms are same layout but furnishings are factory mass produced. I was hoping for a boutique hotel. Overall it was clean but sink, and corners of bathroom hadnt been cleaned. Also corners of glass in shower were dirty. Parts of thd hallway needed painting. Bar area looked impressive but was generic with its drinks i.e. no local drinks. Rooms were noisy, i could here someone making hot drinks and stiring it! As well as furniture dragging and bathroom noises. Property is very close to centre and staff friendly. Parking is off site in a public car park and was £13 for 24hrs.
