Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre Arena, an IHG Hotel

We went to see Peter Kay at the AO arena. We were on vacation from Canada visiting family so this hotel was close to the train station so ideal for our train and the arena itself. Breakfast is included and was very good. Staff kept on top of clearing tables and replenishing hot food. Shower was one of the best I have had in a hotel in England so far. Definitely be back if we visit Manchester again.

Room small no wardrobe just hanging rail,no iron or ironing board have to ask for it.No draws to put clothes and to top it of crying child next door till about 3am,and electric tripped out.Not really what I would expect for almost £200 a night.

Excellent English breakfast included stay. Enjoyed it w family.

The vicinity is bustling with a variety of dining options, there is hotel recommended paid parking at a discounted rate of £18 with a code, I discovered a nearby parking option for a more economical £6.70 for 20 hours. The room itself, although showing signs of age, was maintained clean. This aspect of our stay was satisfactory, meeting the basic expectations for comfort and hygiene. However, the experience took a turn when it came to the breakfast service. It was evident that the hotel was not adequately prepared for the morning rush, suffering from a noticeable lack of staff. This resulted in less than ideal service, which was a disappointment considering the importance of starting the day on a positive note, especially when traveling. On a brighter note, the selection of food available for breakfast was commendable for the price charged. It suggests that with better staffing and management, the dining experience could be greatly improved, aligning it more closely with the hotel's other positive attributes. Nice hotel & friendly, helpful staff. The room booked was a family room with sofa bed but the room was really too small to accomodate this set up

Staff were friendly & helpful.room was clean but when kids sofa bed was out there wasn’t loads of room.breakfast was good but few time the machine for fruit juice was not working juice was watery with no taste & took a while for someone to sort it also 1 morning both machines for hot drinks were not on & again took a while to sort but other than that clean nice hotel friendly staff in a good location

Excellent staff at the front desk. Spotless clean. Breakfast nice but a bit more choice like boiled eggs , pancakes for kids.

I think that it was the most terrible experience that I ever had with Holiday Inn.First of all when I booked it ,it says they have car park but it didn’t,I had to pay 30£ for 2 days at a near car park.I parked at floor3 but the lift didn’t work and I had to take all my luggage and my baby trolley by my own on the stairs.Then when I arrived in my room ,the room was very dirty ,on the floor I found pieces of chocolate.

Our stay at this hotel for a for a few days family break was good enough, unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 6am which really frightened us especially my son who is autistic. There was no explanation nor apology from the hotel staff or the manager. The weather was also really hot and our air-conditioning was not working for our entire stay and the maintenance team could not get it fixed during this time so they had to offer two fans to keep the room cool. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was very good with plenty of variety.

Bad experience breakfast was a caos no table enough for the amount of people we came with a baby and was like a jungle to get a table and the help of the staff very bad the food not so good not even a ham or cheese to put in to the bread disappointed. Floor was not so clean in the room with a baby of one year he puts everything in the mouth bed not comfortable.they did not make the sofa bed on the second day was the same mess.they need to improve the cleaning. Also left one AirPod in the room call the receptionist he did not make a effort at all to help or to find or told he is going to call me did not call I call again and he say they did not find i al sure they even did not look because I left there 100% or maybe they just keep it . Also the sofa bed is so big that is almoust impossible to close and open because of the tv stand I even got a bruise because of that sofa bed that would just have us a crib with the sofa bed there ia no space in to the room at all .
