Hampton by Hilton Manchester Northern Quarter

They had a room that 3 adults could share which was great. I was meeting my sister and my niece and some hotels I looked at said family rooms were only for kids but my niece is 21 and we all wanted to stay together. We’re definitely coming again

I made the booking for this stay 6 weeks in advance for a 21st birthday get away. I made multiple attempts to contact the hotel ahead of the visit and had no response as I wanted to make them aware that it was my sons birthday and I want him to have the most memorable time. Unfortunately we arrived and the hotel offered a complimentary drink for him only on arrival while my daughter and I looked at each other, it also made my son feel awkward. We was then taken to a room with a sofa bed which I requested to be changed. Had I had a response prior to the visit I would have upgraded instead of swapping rooms on the day. At the desk I spoke with a very dismissive and rude manager who charged me extra to upgrade. The staff then continued to make us feel really uncomfortable for the 2 nights that we stayed. I have stayed in cheaper hotels and had a better hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the staff. The rooms are small and can not accommodate for a couple but advertised for as a family room also there was no plug socket near the mirror in our room making it harder to dress.
