Kimpton Fitzroy London, an IHG Hotel

I have pleased to be here. All the staff members are similar to family. If I will come to England, I will stay at this hotel. Thanks for all the staff members.

We booked the property, with our family, needing 2 rooms close to each other as we had our children sharing a room alone. We asked for adjacent or interconnecting rooms on the booking, we called ahead twice to remind the hotel. We arrived and the rooms were nowhere near each other and they'd downgraded one of the rooms in an attempt just to get the rooms on the same floor. We asked to see the rooms and they were VERY disappointing. Small, dingy and both had unpleasant odours. Sophie the front of house manager couldn't provide any solutions. We didn't even check in. We walked out and booked the Rosewood in Holborn instead which is a FAR better hotel and thoroughly recommended as they were very accomodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. AVOID.

Amazing personal service! Doormen were always there to help with luggage, baby stroller etc. Rooms are on the small size but the linens, pillows and mattresses were super cozy and high end. I would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular property and hospitality! The building is stunning and being there for Christmas made it even more magical. We booked a junior suite and upon arrival got upgraded to a one bedroom suite. The front desk team was phenomenal and were very responsive via their text messaging service. They went through leaps and bounds to get us our room a little earlier too. We also got a mini tour of the historic property from their guest relations team. The restaurants onsite were also amazing with Galvin’s being a true highlight. Fitz bar was also very fun and atmospheric. We will be back most definitely. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in London.

I stayed at the hotel with my son for a special treat of a couple of days in London. The hotel is very clean and we had a good stay, but it lacked the special touches. We had stayed at The Landmark hotel on a previous trip and they really catered for children - small bath robe, mini slippers, soft toy. Breakfast/Room service at Landmark was also much more refined with attention to detail. When I called to order room service at Kimpton the person I spoke to was unsure if they could do a smaller child’s portion of a pasta dish. Check-in and check out were both quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. Overall it was an ok stay, but there was a real lack of attention to detail and we left feeling it wasn’t as special as our previous stay in London. Next trip we will be back to the Landmark!
