We had a fabulous time in London. You location and neighborhood was outstanding. We were disappointed with a couple of things, however. First, we were never given a tour of the hotel so we had to find everything on our own. We heard other guests offered the tour when they checked in. Our room was not ready at noon, even though we had notified the desk of our arrival time. We had to wait in the lounge and actually fell asleep. We witnessed other guests checking in and going to their rooms. The staff took pity on us and gave us a room to rest in temporarily. Around 4PM, I called the desk, and our room was still not ready. When we finally got the room around 5PM, the room itself was difficult to navigate. Having a desk in the foyer area with a large chair was challenging. The closet was very big but ergonomically a disaster. You had to enter the closet and close the door to get to the hanging space. The refrigerator on the floor in the corner was useless unless you got on your knees. For a couple traveling with two suitcases, there was no way to have both open. The bathroom was adequate, but the corner tub is child sized. Being handicapped, I had great difficulty using that tub. There is next to no counter space in that bathroom. The shower stall was extremely small and difficult for my wife to have enough room to even wash her hair. The floor tile was very slick. Please note that polished marble flooring in a bathroom is very slippery.

Such wonder friendly staff there, it makes you feel they are family and makes us also part of it. Location is just behind British Museum quiet neighboor but easy accessable to anywhere around central London. Highly Recommanded.

The Montague On The Gardens is a fantastic hotel with perfect service in a great, classic London setting. It provided the perfect location for our family to use as a base to explore London. The service was great and the waiters and staff were excellent.

I booked two rooms for my wife and two daughters for a family girls' trip. Everyone loved the hotel. The location, the furnishings and the staff were all outstanding, according to the women.

The Montague on the Gardens was a fantastic hotel. The location right next to the British Museum was very convienient, the staff was extremely helpful and accomodating, and the room was really unique and interesting. My wife, son, mother-in-law, and I were traveling in April 2022 and this hotel met all of our expectations. My mother-in-law stayed in a double room and my wife and I stayed in the junior king suite. The only minor complaint that I have was that there was not a separate door for the bedroom in the suite. With a child in the pack-and-play, it was tricky to utilize the room once he was asleep and having a separate door for the bedroom would have been ideal.

Great bed and linen. Good assortment of teas and a very nice turn down service.
Check in fast and professional.
However, if you would like a hand held shower this is not the place to go. Waterfall or bath faucets were the options in my room.
Surprisingly thin walls and the murmur from neighboring room talk was audible, fortunately the residents were early to bed. I suppose this hotel/location audience would not be families which is fortunate ;)
