Room was fine - comfy beds and clean - all fairly standard.
Staff were really friendly - and very welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic - and we are a really fussy family! Loads of selection and we didn’t feel rushed even though we arrived towards the end of service. 2 minutes walk from Russel Square tube station so really easy to get around central London. Good value. Would book again.

Very convenient and centrally located place to stay in London. Local transport was next to hotel. All nice restaurants surrounding the hotel stay. Me and my family had a great stay at this hotel. Hotel staff are warm and welcoming.

Awful hotel, booked a Executive room only to be put right above the bin and loading dock. Room wasnt large enough for the sofa bed as my oldest daughter kept kicking the wooden shutters. DO NOT bring young children here, not suitable at all. Staff were very unhelpful and rude when i told them we had not slept due to location of the room and werent willing to do anything. Air conditioning in the room also didnt work.

We did an overnight stay a week before this stay and that room was not as good as this one. It didn’t have a fridge and the AC did not work well- it seemed like it was being turned off periodically which required a call to reception to get it turned back on. For this stay, the rooms were much better. I almost felt like I was in different hotel. The rooms were slightly bigger, there was a refrigerator in the room and they gave water and snacks for the children almost daily (by day 3 they weren't so generous). We had the same issue with the AC around the 3rd day as well. Also, the wifi was terrible. Despite that, we enjoyed the stay. The beds were comfortable, the buffet breakfast was good and the location of this hotel is superb. Close to the tube and some bus stops. Lots of shops and restaurants close by.

Good location with easy underground access. However, that was the only positive feature. Staff were helpful. Besides that, room was tiny (for a family room, there was no space to open our suitcase) . Way overpriced for overall condition and amenities. Having stayed in 5 different hotels during our UK trip, this would be the only hotel we wouldn’t go back to or recommend.

After check-in, we arrived at our room and realized that the air conditioner didn’t work. We quickly called down to the front desk and they said maintenance would come check on it, which they did. Never heard back within the 30 minutes the maintenance workers said we would, so we called again. Another worker came up and said she would let us know. 30 minutes later, we called back and were told it can’t be fixed and no extra rooms. Not ideal when traveling with little kids. After returning to the hotel, we spoke to new front desk workers and they didn’t know about our problem and they do have 2 separate rooms available (accommodate 4 total). We took those. Horrible communication at this hotel. Rooms outdated, dirty, carpet is old. The fresh paint doesn’t matter.
