Excellent hotel. Have stayed in high-end places, so this was last minute booking for New Year's Eve, as I needed to be close to a family event in London. So, not the most modern place, but hey, has a charm of its own. Great location. Clean and compared to city prices, a bargain.
Positives: Free parking in London. Friendly staff. Clean, warm room. Good bathroom. Comfortable bed and a great night's sleep. FANTASTIC breakfast, with great quality options. The restaurant staff are super friendly, efficient and happy to help out. 5 minute drive to Greenwich and to O2 arena in 15 minutes.
Negatives. Nothing that affected our stay, however, the windows are old and dated and could do with an upgrade, bit of a draft from them, but the heating in the room is great, so hardly noticed it, however, great for a 200-year-old building. Our family room had 4 single beds and plenty of room. Great hot shower. We will be back.

Nice stay in a superb location. 2 Nights in London. Room was good - family room for 5. Breakfast was great - although as the hotel was very busy was pretty hectic. However all the staff were super helpful. Good value hotel. Location is nice, Blackheath is a nice place - close to Greenwich.

Our family of 5 was very comfortable in the family suite. We needed to use the Wi-Fi for online school and it was not sufficient in our room at the end of the hallway.

It's a lovely hotel just a short walk across the heath from our daughter's flat so very convenient. It was a nice, relaxing base after busy days over Christmas with the family. We enjoyed the choice at breakfast too.

First port of call - reception - a little confused at check-in but thereafter very pleased with clean rooms and environment throughout, a peaceful/private garden, efficient room service, delicious breakfast, very friendly staff and a good menu/bar. Clearly detail drive n and family run. Excellent balance between service and privacy. Brilliant location re: both Blackheath Village and Greenwich. One important issue to improve - wi-fi was weak causing frustration at times which, for business-travellers, I can see would be an issue.

Good range of food for breakfast. Relaxed dining area.
Bathroom clean and new but small. Only one night so suited us fine. Room good size for family of 3.

Check in was smooth however the hotel charged us an extra £15 for a babycot which I was not made aware of when I requested it at the time of booking and when I rang to confirm earlier in the week.
The cot was then unsafe as It didn't have the proper supports and therefore my baby was unable to sleep in it.
The bar staff rolled their eyes and chuckled when we asked for a tap water instead of bottled water for our children - your opinion is not necessary.
The majority of the high chairs in the restaurant do not have lap belts (most broken) which meant it was difficult to have breakfast this morning as our baby was not secure.
Finally we were in a room that looked over the garden and there was some sort of award ceremony/conference last night and ALOT of noise outside when our children were trying to get to sleep.
