Nice hotel, with clean rooms, thorough room service and good transport links. The only real disappointment for us was a very unfriendly young lady at reception when we checked in. We arrived as a family late in the evening on January 1st after a long journey and were unfortunately received in an unmotivated and even outrageous manner. Unfortunately, in her communication with us, the young lady was not willing to explain exactly where we could get something to eat at that time. We later found out that there are some cafes/restaurants in the area and in the Canary Wharf Mall within walking distance that are even open until 11 p.m. She responded to our questions irritably, boldly and was unwilling to share other information with us in a friendly manner. As guests, we did not expect such a “reception”. We had to stop the check-in with her and contact the hotel management. This was completely unnecessary, unprofessional and left my wife and myself very disappointed and sad. We travel a lot around the world and we have never ever lived that kind of rude behavior before. It's a really pity, otherwise the rest of the staff, especially in the restaurant, were very experienced, friendly and accommodating.

This was a fabulous hotel. They were super accommodating and very warm. I felt so taken care of. I will definitely stay here again the location was great easy access to trains and water taxis. Beautiful area. Comfortable rooms. Great beds. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in London and I’m here often because I have family here. Thank you Tribe for a wonderful experience in London

Great vibe and very friendly staff. Our shower wouldn’t turn off and someone can rot fix it right away. Would highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure and great for families too. Canary Wharf has some nice places to walk; lots of dining choices and great for people who love modern architecture. It isn’t over crowded which was a nice change for your typical London trip.

the room was lovely, great food too, really comfortable. my only issue was that on the website it stated that the o2 arena was only a 9 minute drive, however when i actually drove there it took 2 hours, i understand that it could be due to peak times but regardless of that i have asked my family who live in canary wharf and have also researched it and it definitely is not a 9 minute drive at all, this then cost me a lot of money that i missed out on as i had a reservation to see a show with some family, i would appreciate if it hadn’t of said that as if it was stated that it would be a long drive i wouldn’t have booked this hotel, i booked it due to the simple fact it stated it was a quick drive. as well as this, once i finally reached the arena, my phone had died and i contacted the hotel to ask reception if they could book me a taxi from my location to the hotel and i could pay upon arrival, i waited outside for an hour and once i finally managed to call the hotel to check what’s going on, another member of staff told me that no taxi was ever booked and that the tunnel was closed, but not once did the hotel attempt to let me know this and had me waiting for an hour at 12am with my grandmother, i found it quite rude and we then had to get the tube which we didn’t want to do as my grandmother suffers with anxiety, hence why i asked them to call us a taxi. this really disappointed me and for that reason i wouldn’t stay again but as i said the room was comfortable.

I recently made a booking for ten rooms at Tribe for family and friends travelling to London for an event. The duty manager Aaron couldn't have been more helpful in sorting out a complex booking and check in process, taking a lot of stress out of the situation for me! The hotel itself is very modern, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are clean, modern, well equipped and comfortable with lovely bathrooms. All of my guests had a fantastic night's sleep and almost everyone commented on how comfortable the pillows are! We would definitely stay here again - it's a really quick walk from Canary Wharf station and only one stop to the Jubilee Line to the O2 which is where we were heading for the evening. Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful, and the staff couldn't have been more lovely. Highly recommended!

What is unique is the staff. Aaron, Margot and Zayn are just the best and go out of their way to help and be there for you. For example, I came in our of the rain and Zayn said if you go out again ask for an umbrella as we have them to lend as he could see my hair was a bit wet. Aaron upgraded me to a beautiful corner room with magical views as the last time I stayed I had a family tragedy and was welcomed back asking how I was. I definately recommend staying and everyone gets such a personal touch. Thank you for making me one of the Tribe.

Misleading advertising - there are NO king size beds at this hotel. All beds are double (probably because the bedrooms are so tiny). When I requested the king sized bed that I had booked, the European receptionist said “ all Tribe beds are British King size and there are no bigger beds available ever”!,This was repeated at checkout and when I pointed out that a king size bed is actually 150 cm/5 foot and that Tribe beds are in fact British double beds ….. the response was “oh, we’re actually owned by a French company so we have no control”. Also, you can only contact reception via your own mobile phone but there was no telephone reception in our sparce tiny, wardrobeless bedroom. My daughter is on EE which is the largest network provider in the UK but still no reception from my phone or hers. I booked the night away as a special treat as my daughter has a young baby. We were happy to share a king size bed (as booked) but our small bed made for an uncomfortable night. The Tribe website says that you ‘may not’ get the bed you booked but to be truthful what it should say is you “WONT” get the bed that you booked if you book a king because we don’t have any!! Tribe provide nothing but shampoo, conditioner, body cream and towels. Apparently you can get shower hats and anything else you need at Reception….if only they told you…and if only you could contact them. On the upside, breakfast wasn’t the worst but ask separately for coffee unless you are happy with canteen flask coffee.

Overall, this was a comfortable stay with adequate amenities. The surrounding area was safe and quiet with easy access to the nearby tube station and shopping centres. However, when you consider the cost of a stay, this was definitely not worth it. The food was subpar and felt like something that could be cooked up at home. The services were also slightly inadequate and felt like requesting any sort of assistance was an inconvenience to staff. From the immediate onset, issues related to not being able to take the lift because of key cards also occurred. It even required some unusually difficult effort to waive staff members for assistance, particularly at the restaurant and café. The size of the rooms could be larger and include basic amenities like tissues, luggage holders, and larger bins. Lastly, this is is definitely a place that is meant for the "Canary Wharf crowd." You will be surrounded by a lot of wannabe financiers and hoteliers, fame hungry Instagrammers and TikTokers, irritating trust fund babies, and ironically non-conforming fashionistas. While this did not affect the stay significantly, it definitely did influence the services rendered. It seemed like staff members were more concerned about "looking and acting the part" rather than focusing on actually providing services. To be honest, the only redeeming qualities of the stay were the views from the room, quietness and safety around the property, and the cleaning, maintenance, and front desk staff.

The hotel is in a great location in Canary Wharf just a short walk from the tube station. The reception area has the wow factor and was spotless. Our room was very modern, clean and well equipped. It was also very quiet which was good as often in London it can be noisy depending where you stay. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to family to friends!
