Hampton by Hilton London Gatwick Airport

Great hotel, ideal for pre flight stay or in my case dropping family off for an early flight. Only downside car park was expensive.

We were very late getting into Gatwick. Phoned hotel, very nice girl said no problem. We arrived before 12 & straight into a family room. Ok breakfast. Would definitely stay again. 👍

We had a late flight into Gatwick North, so the location was perfect for this. It is located in the terminal so didn't have to leave the building. Big plus. Reception were very nice and very quick check in. We had a family room for 2 adults and 1 child. Thank goodness we didn't have anymore people in than that as the rooms are tiny, especially when you have your suitcases in tow! The carpet was all ripped, which made it feel really drab and not what I would expect considering how much we paid. The air con was really lame too and barely cooled the room. Again, I might expect this in a really budget hotel, but not something that carries the Hilton brand. Breakfast was fine. It was included in the price. They have express checkout so that was very convenient. All in all an average stay, but not worth the amount we paid for it

The proximity to the terminal at Gatwick is fantastic. The check in was smooth and the staff excellent. The room was perfect for our needs (a family room - 2 adults and a 15 year old). The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom facilities were first class. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall great experience, have stayed here a couple of times. Great place to stay as long as there’s no more than two people per room. Disappointment in the “family room“ as it is basically a queen bed with a pull out couch. Travelled all through Scotland and Ireland and a family room could be three or four twin beds.

Extremely friendly staff. Arrived on an overnight flight with a child. Let us check in early with no issues. One of the only places that serve food and drinks past mid night

Breakfast is really good, full english available with a good selection for buffet. I used the gym which was small but had the main things I use. The bed was comfy and the black out curtains were very useful. Our only biggest complaint was the gentleman who checked us in was not exactly the most helpful and we felt a bit brushed off. After an long overnight flight with our 1 year old son we arrived early which I had already told the hotel, as well as requested a baby cot in the room. We arrived to find out the room was not ready and Rick told us to take a seat and let us know when it was available... we sat for 2 hours until midday and I asked Rick if it was available and he said it was, i asked how long it had been available for and he said 30 minutes and we felt quite dissapointed he watched us sitting there very tired from a long night flying with a 1 year old and if I had not gone up to see if it was ready we would have probably sat there for even longer... we really just wanted to sleep and rest after a very non sleep filled night on the plane with an infant. Then once we arrived to the room there was no baby cot.. we called down to have one sent up and it was another hour and half before it arrived... so we just felt a bit exhausted with it all and the lack of consideration and professionalism. But the portuguese ladies behind the desk were lovely and you cant beat the location.
