Holiday Inn London Gatwick - Worth, an IHG Hotel

Super disappointed in Holiday Inn. The location is in an isolated area. Yes, it's near the Gatwick airport but unless you plan to Uber/Lyft to anything else your stuck. We came in late from our flight and I specifically called to ask if the restaurant would be open so my family could eat and they stated it would be. When we arrived at the hotel the restaurant was closed. There was nowhere for my family to go to eat dinner! And, having something Ubered in is another ridiculous story. The next morning to top off our stay the only breakfast offered at the isolated hotel was a $20.00 per person buffet...how ridiculous! We don't need a buffet and really no one else does either! They won't let you order a la cart. They have you trapped and Holiday Inn knows this! How sad! I know the original owners. This does not reflect in any way the original mission of Holiday Inn...what a disappointment! Please don't respond with the impersonal corporate nominal response...just make the necessary changes so you can reflect the original mission of Holiday Inn...providing, "standardized, clean, predictable, family-friendly and readily accessible rooms to road travelers."

Hotel nice enough and in a good location for Gatwick but advertising and selling family rooms for 5 is not acceptable. The 5th bed was a chair, not a sofa bed of any kind. it was a long chair, harder than the floor. No springs or give. My son couldn't sleep on it so my husband had to in the end and he would have been better off on the floor. When mentioned to reception the next morning he agreed they were bad but no apology. Complaint via email ignored. Not good before a long haul flight.

Great hotel, clean, beds were comfy. Perfect for a stop over before flying from Gatwick. Staff were friendly. Only critique, parking spaces were quite small, with no parent, child bays. But highly recommend if you need somewhere to stay close to the airport.
