Lovely hotel. Had a family room with sofa bed. Sofa bed wasn't very comfy but the bed was. It was clean, friendly staff and nice breakfast. Only downside was the Aircon which they had fitted a week ago was not working and we particularly looked for a hotel with Aircon. The staff were apologetic and gave us a fan. But no Aircon for 2 nights on the hottest days of the year.
Location was great, on site parking and 10 mins walk to get to the central strip of shops / restaurants.

Stayed here for 2 nights in April. We had 2 rooms as a family of 5.
One room was fine but the other smelt really badly of damp. (Room 414) We asked to change but they were fully booked so couldn't, windows didn't open so we just tried to blast it with air-con to see if it helped. It didn't.
Both family rooms had fold out sofa beds which were very uncomfortable and all the kids ended up in the double beds!
Breakfast was ok standard hotel food although the kids loved the pancake machine and the giant Nutella!
All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
Location good for city centre, walk to New Street station in about 15-20min.
Probably wouldn't stay here again as a family but maybe as a couple.

The hotel was great, however the bed for the kids in the family room was a disgrace really as nobody could sleep on that comfortably. We asked for something to be done and was given extra blankets which helped very slightly but the kids had a pretty awful nights sleep due to it. If we were staying more than 1 night we would have had to switch hotels due to this. Apart from that, everything was fine and the staff were very nice and polite.

Rather cramped for a family stay.
Breakfast buffet was very basic and certain purple hotels really make this look dire.
Would not stay again, however for the price it was good

This is a complaint we arrived check in was good went to our room to have no bedding g for our children’s sofa bed. No towels for our children. When we went to bed we found out that there was no air conditioning and no window to open. It was boiling hot to sleep. I couldn’t sleep. The bed was so hard. The children’s bed was so hard they couldn’t get to sleep either. All of us woke up not sleeping so well at all. We tried to get to sleep from 11pm and woke up at 4am. The only good thing was the food for breakfast and the free parking. I need a refund and this was an awful experience for all us us as a family. We have woken up not excited to go to Cadbury world but tired with bad backs and can’t wait to go home.

Visited Birmingham for one night with my two children. The hotel served its purpose for what we needed but I wouldn’t rush back.
Pros:
Location - convenient for where i needed, short walk to Legoland/sea life, and 10 mins to the shopping area.
Price - I paid £68 for the 3 of us including breakfast, and £15 for secure parking.
Breakfast was included and had a reasonable selection
Free tea and coffee throughout your stay as well as ice
Cons:
Sofa bed was awful, even my 7 year old said it was the worst bed she had slept in
Duvets were so thin, I sent a message to the WhatsApp number they give you in the room to contact reception and had zero response (I couldn’t go down myself as my kids were in bed)
AC made a hideous noise every hour, kept waking me up, didn’t realise what it was until I mentioned it at checkout, apparently they are getting ‘maintenance to see to it’, also other random noises (not guests)
Staff were sat playing on their mobiles at the reception desk
Breakfast was okay, good selection but not particularly tasty
Parking not signposted at the front of the hotel, I found it by accident
Hotel seems tired and not what i expected from an ibis styles hotel, I suspect (and hope) it’s waiting for a refurb.

Everything was great, free hot drinks, breakfast was good, shower etc but the sofabed is not suitable for 2children over 6-8 years. Very uncomfortable and small. Otherwise a great hotel location etc

My family and I, two adults and two children under 5, stayed for one night in this hotel.
Pros: great location, secure parking (although unfortunately for a fee) underneath the hotel, breakfast included and 24h coffee service, very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: the room, although clean and cosy was very small for 4 people and the sofa bed was uncomfortable. Although the coffee service was 24h, the quality of the drinks was questionable but this is purely personal taste. The parking charge of £13 for one night seemed excessive.

Sofa bed was awful you could feel every bit of metal through the paper thin mattress, couldnt use the desk as the sofa bed took up too much room. Shouldnt be used as a family room.
