Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu

Prior to reserving my stay I saw some pretty bad reviews but I also saw some good reviews and I’m so glad I took a chance and chose this hotel because it was fantastic! Everyone was so nice and helpful and I’m not sure why people complained that the taxi drop off is on a street because it’s not. They have an entrance off the street and up a ramp where buses and taxi’s pick up and drop off and it’s literally right outside the hotel. This hotel is conveniently located to everything and the train station is within the same building and there are so many shops and restaurants downstairs. Keep in mind that you are paying for the location and even if the rooms aren’t like a Ritz or some swanky hotel, the rooms are still nice and has everything you need. They give you free bottles of water and they have so many nice complimentary toiletries. The cafe downstairs blew us away because you would never think of a hotel for a good meal but this place rocked! I loved this hotel and the staff and I will definitely be back and refer friends and family!

I booked a quad, great for families. Location is fantastic although it was quite difficult to fond at first

Traveling from the US with 2 adults and 2 kids we opted for the room with 4 beds which was perfect for us. Shower room separate from toilet room allows for good family ready-to-go time. The location of this property can't be beat and with the JR Rail pass I feel we conquered the Tokyo subway / rail system the 5 nights we stayed here. Shibiya station is super easy to get to and take to pretty much anywhere but you can walk to Harijuku and Shibuya Gai is right across the street. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning and dinner at the Japanese restaurant at the top floor (a bit spendy). There is a starbucks on the way out to Shubuya crossing which is visible from many points in the hotel including some of the rooms. I couldn't imagine staying in another location after having traveled all around the city.

The property location is excellent, all resto, stores, train station are all walking distance. I will recommend this place to my family and friends.
