Hotel La Scaletta Al Ponte Vecchio

The facility was pretty amazing and made us really feel like we were in Florence. We had luxury suites that faced an interior courtyard. It was quiet and you could hear birds chirping at dawn. There were espresso machine, fridge and hot water pot in the room. The bathing and toilet facilities were in the room were very nice. Our beds were large and comfy and the sofa beds made up for the kids were great. The WiFi was good, the breakfast was great and had a selection that could please anyone, even the pickiest. My kids were big fans of the automatic fresh pancake maker. I was a fan of espresso drinks to order and the spinach quiche.

A great hotel in a perfect location! We booked two rooms for three generations of family members and everybody was happy. It's not a luxury property by any means, but it has the perfect set-up, a great staff, a nice breakfast in the morning, and very clean and spacious rooms!

I reserved and paid for 4 rooms for my family and was the first to arrive. Instead of getting the nicest room, i got the smallest room and the hotel did not upgrade me. Moreover. i paid more for the 3 rooms for my siblings since i made their reservations a few days later and, to my surprise, although my room included breakfast, the hotel charged my siblings additional money for their breakfast.. Bottom line- as a person who paid thousand of Euros for a long stay in 4 rooms expected a better customer service

The property location is good, just steps from the Ponte Vecchio bridge. However, some of the rooms are accessed by stairs only, no elevator. The room we had was such a room and we had to go through 2 flights of stairs. I found this a bit annoying given that we had an infant with stroller and a big luggage.
