Rhein-Hotel St. Martin

This is a very nice hotel right on the river in the heart of Cologne. We had an apartment for two kids and two adults, and we could have had four kids there such was the space available. Friendly staff and very nice and spacious rooms.

This hotel is not family friendly. There is no access to elevators, only stairs. Rooms are the size a small closet at best. Room service. Is non existent. There are no views. Basically the hotels.com description is fraudulent and deceptive. Lastly this hotel is part old town where the streets are cobblestones which makes it hard to walk.

My family and I stayed here for one night. We were greeted at check in by friendly staff members who provided a coupon for 10% off at the restaurant next door. Our room was spacious. We had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom located on the 4th floor. One bedroom had a queen sized bed, mini bar, desk and a couch. The 2nd bedroom had a queen sized bed, pull out couch, desk and mini bar. Drinks in the mini bar were complimentary. My only complaint about the room is that the mattress was very firm. The parking garage that was 50% off was not easy for us to find and we ended up parking somewhere else. Many of the streets near the hotel were closed to vehicles and we decided to park near the Dom and walk. The area around the hotel had many shops and restaurants to choose from. We also walked along the Rhein. This was a nice hotel at a good price.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We were traveling with our kids and reserved the family room. The kids loved their bunk bed room and we loved the size of our room with enough space to hang out at a family. It was beautifully decorated and nice and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is very lovely, warm & friendly hospitality at the best location along the Rhein river nearby the DOM with a great view of the sidewalk and the river and just above restaurants and bars. I was staying in the junior suite on the four-floor - new build, modern, very clean and big, and I will be happy to come back again next year.

I picked this hotel because it was really close walking distance to the train station. The pictures looked pretty nice online and I was very happy to find that the room we had was even nicer in person. It was very clean and I appreciated that the sofa bed was made up already in anticipation of our family needing to use it. The complimentary drinks in the fridge were an unexpected bonus. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed more than one night.
