CityClass Hotel Caprice am Dom

We stayed here on our last night in Europe after 2 weeks of travel. Front desk was super helpful and accommodating. Beautiful family room for all 4 of us and a wonderful way to get a great sleep before our long journey home to U.S. Great location with lots of restaurants and shops and historic cathedral nearby. Note- they no longer have laundry facilities on site. (Hotels.com website outdated). We walked 12 mins to laundromat. Easy to use.

It is nice that the room has 5 beds which our kids can have each own bed. All amenities work properly. Great location that we can walk to the Cologne Cathedral. Mark and Mai both receptionists are helpful and friendly. It would be nice if the breakfast was included.

The property is well located in the city center. Just a few minutes walk from the Dom. We loved the balconies and the breakfast was delicious. Front desk staff wasn’t exactly willing to go out of their way to help. Our TV didn’t work. Wifi was weak at best when it worked. We gave up on it. The room and bathroom were beautiful, but when we used the rainshower shower head, the bathroom flooded. So we used the towels we had to clean up the mess. We left the towels on the floor hoping that they would be replaced with clean towels. Nope, the maid hung the dirty towels up and that’s what we had for the rest of our stay. We were shocked. Because of the location and aesthetic, we wanted to be able to recommend this place to family and friends. We also wanted to return again. But, no TV and no wifi may be a deal breaker.
