Sheraton Denarau Villas

A solid 4 stars. Lots of great things and a few other things that could use just a little polish. First the positives. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. The pool between the villas was super relaxing and fairly quiet. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. And The Wet Edge restaurant had a lovely vibe with a spectacular sunset view. The first thing to improve would be the food quality. Everything was okay but our only really enjoyable dining experience was at the excellent Mamacita Mexican Restaurant. Two of our party picked up a mild case of food poisoning, which we think was from the breakfast buffet. Nothing was cheap so we feel like you should be able to expect a little more. The only other thing we would mention was the standard of the grounds. We encountered quite a few old bandaids and the like which we obviously get when there are kids around but it would have been nice for some of that litter to have been cleaned away. A couple of signs and a few bits of landscaping timber around the pool were also broken. Fixing the food and a bit of extra effort on the grounds would bring this up to true 5-star quality because everything else was excellent.

Fantastic family holiday great facilities and amazing staff, could not have made our stay more enjoyable. We will miss you all! We will be back :)

We’ve just had ten days at the Sheraton and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were very clean and the grounds immaculately kept. We loved the choice of pools and the kids especially liked the infinity pool with the swim up bar which served slushies. I can’t rate this resort highly enough.

We had a fantastic stay at the villas. The pool areas are great for both kids and adults, ability to access areas across both properties really good. The dinning options were excellent and the coffee shop, 28g, was good although a little slow on service. It was also a nice walk from the port if you are after different dinning options.

Excellent kids club facilities, special shout out to Sal for being so awesome with our 3 boys! Wonderful wait staff at Tatavu, very professional and made for a superb dining experience. Pools were fabulous, lots of different options including an adults only pool. Buffet breakfast was excellent, lots of options to keep everyone happy. Villas suite was fantastic for our family of 5, made for a very comfortable stay. Housekeeping was great. Wet Edge bar service was average from some of the staff, there is room for improvement here. Overall a wonderful stay and we will definitely return to Sherton Denarau Villas.

The rooms are fabulous. Ideal for families or groups. The layout allows privacy and space and you can eat in or eat out dependant on what suits your needs as there is a convenience store at the front of the property. The grounds are kept immaculate - hats off to the staff that maintain the grounds and surrounds. The service staff are not good. They don’t seem happy to be there particularly those at 619 and the staff at the villa pools, the latter which were hopeless (with the exception of Leti). If you think the wait staff are going to come around and take your order and deliver drinks or food (as they do elsewhere on Denarau) you are mistaken especially if you are at the Villa Lagoon pool.

I did not realise the villas were a good 5 minute walk from the hub of The Sheraton. So it was a bit of a walk to get to meals and shops. The hat wasn’t so bad but when you pay $2500 for three nights, you expect the wifi to work. I could get solid wifi 5 mins away in the main common areas but none in my room or poolside at the closest pool area. This was very disappointing as it was my only connection to work and family at home.
