Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island

The staff were friendly and made us all feel great. The options available to the kids for things to do left a lot to be desired (as opposed to say it’s neighbour Wyndham). Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

With a one year old we were looking for kid friendly otpions and Radisson was the most kid friendly. Their pool has kids section amd there is also a little pool for toddlers which my little one throughly enjoyed. Only negative is that standard rooms dont have microwave, which makes it difficult to warm up food or milk for little ones. But hotel staff was very accommodating, they would warm up milk for my little one at 2am. For food, there are plenty of options. Either one can stay at hotel and go to one of their 3 restaurants (which does require reservation), or hesd out to Port Denarau where there are more options. Would definitely be coming back...

The swim up bar and blue bar and restaurant is closed for renovations which is very noisy around the pool area. Breakfast is set up in a dark and stuffy ballroom, the coffee machines at breakfast didn’t work each morning, we waited 45 minutes for a coffee from the very busy barista. Our rooms were not made up every day, had to call reception a few times to request clean towels for the room. Only 3 towels were given each time even though 4 guests were checked into the room The main reception area is also under renovations which is noisy. Having stayed at the Radisson Blu previously in 2017 and 2018 we were very disappointed returning this time in 2024, as it did not feel like the same family friendly, warm and fun resort we experienced prior.

When we were there lots of families enjoying the pool. Wakesurfing, sups, Jet skis on property. Great area. Food and staff are exceptional.

Highly disappointing to arrive and then see and be told renovations taking place. Swim up pool bar out of action. Manage did offer apologies and gave some monetary credit to the room. Breakfast at 2 of the 3 options (one is adult only), lebanese restaurant location busy and lomg queues to get in (but view fantastic over looking ocean). The other is in the ball room...like an over crowded cafeteria. Not good, appreciate temporary but not good and again renovations not advertised on hotels.com Pool has a slide the kids enjoyed. Gym is a good solid hotel gym. One day we had to call 3 times to have room made up and eventually it waa 5.10pm, following day it was just after 3pm.... No coffee sachets left in the room after day 1. Wifi is pretty garbage in spots and often doesn't connect in the room. Kids club was two hotel rooms BUT the kids loved it and the activities and people.

Amazing from the time you enter Radisson Blu. Big Bula smile, welcome drink, friendly and helpful front desk staff (especially AKO who made our stay memorable). Beautiful resort, nice onsite restaurants, bars and shops. Great place for families and couples. Highly recommend

The lagoon view from our room/balcony was great and spacious. Friendly staff, child friendly activities filled resort. Excellent automatic air conditioning rooms. Insect screens if we wanted to leave the windows opened. We stayed in 2 bedrooms with lounge and kitchen. This trip was with groups of our families so we occupied few rooms on different floors and sides of the resort. We found that some of our families’ rooms had great services like turndown service, flowers placed, clean fresh towels, etc where our room had no beds made, towels missing, finished soaps not replaced, and if a linen was changed it was left behind. 2nd bedroom shower didn’t drain fast enough so it flooded. Worst part was that our pillows stunk bad that I had to get my own pillows. The bathroom ceiling was mouldy. We stayed in many resorts in the pacific island and around the world and we found that this was not the value for money resort.

Good family destination for relaxing pool time. Prices were fairly reasonable for fiji but suggest you get a food package with your holiday if you want to save money. Pros - staff are amazing. So friendly and always willing to help. - facilities were generally all really well kept with everything you need on site. - kids club was great. Our nanny was amazing and nothing was a bother for them. - lots of simple activities for kids - close to port for a day out sailing. Cons - most drinks served aren't kept in the fridge. They give you plenty of ice but not as good as having it cold to begin with. - pool bar was often under staffed. Would have to wait 20 minutes for a drink sometimes and happy hour it was even worse. Add more staff to the bar or better yet, have an online order app. - pool slide is fun for kids but it opens to an area that's fairly deep with no hand holds on the sides. I personally had to help other people's kids on 3 occasions as they were struggling to stay above water. They need a plastic railing along the side. - reminder that Denarau doesn't have a nice beach (buts it should be a given at this point) Overall, it was a great trip that could have been excellent if they tighten up a few things mentioned above.

Clean and family friendly

The rooms are the Radisson are large and comfortable. Staff is excellent- so helpful and friendly. It is a very family friendly resort. Lots of children! Swimming around the resort was not desirable, but take a trip to other islands for swimming and snorkeling.
