Room was not equipped with enough items for family of 5. Would be nice if the hotel knowing we checked in with 5 people had cutlery and plates for a fifth guest as well as bedding for the pullout couch.

last minute booking for a much needed break for a grieving family member. The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable. The hotel was quiet, staff friendly and helpful.

Very nice place to stay! We stayed for almost 2 weeks here. Good free breakfast and the employees at the desk were always nice. It is pet friendly! The laundry machines are free to use which was a huge bonus. The pool has a bubbler in it which was super cool, and there is also a splash pad for younger kids. St. Jacobs farmers market is right across the street. I would stay here again!

The rooms are great, and the beds are super comfortable. The breakfast is a little lacking at times - several mornings there was no bacon or bananas left. The pool is awful, it was over chlorinated. Our kids lasted about 3 minutes in the pool area, one was vomiting because of the chlorine smell, and the others felt ill for a while afterwards.

The only negative about our stay was the pool. We had to make appointments for our pool time, but when we tried to swim it was full of kids. Swimming was impossible. The pool water temperature was also too cold. That was a disappointment.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. The first night, we arrived late at night. The room we were assigned was stuffy/strange smell with scratch marks on the main door and bathroom door (seems like from a big dog). It turned out that the hotel is pet-friendly and I have allergies to most animals so I was sneezing nonstop and eyes itching that first night. The next morning, I requested a room transfer and the hotel management immediately switched us to a much better/cleaner room. All the staff were very friendly and courteous-- front desk, room service, breakfast staff, etc. My kids were happy about the swimming pool and the breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. Overall, it was great experience and we would stay at Staybridge again if we ever visit the Waterloo area! :)

It was very clean and refreshing. There was not much around the area to dine other than a family restaurant that closes at 8.

The hotel is the newest one in the St. Jacobs market area, but seems to have the most wear and tear in the rooms. The cons were: Our room was not cleaned 100% with dark coloured streaks on the door frames, coffee table had sticky liquid in the outer rim and when I pulled the cushions off the couch to make the bed there were sunchips sitting on frame. We had dents/chips in our bedroom door, caulking in the bathroom was missing or very poorly done. The pros were we loved having the kitchenette with the full size fridge and island for kids to sit at to eat. The kids loved the pool and the breakfast options were very nice. The agent at the front desk was very nice and made sure we received linen and pillows for our pull out couch since there was none and we booked as 2 adults and 3 kids.

We had a lovely stay with our family. The breakfast was delicious and there was so much to choose from. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was a quick walk across the street to the farmers' market. The only thing I was missing was a hot tub with the pool, however, the kids had a blast! We will definitely be back again!
