Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre

The staff were friendly and helpful upon checking in the middle of the night. However the room had so many bugs - spiders, ants, etc. To top it off, woke up to find a tick in the bed. A significant health concern, especially with children. Captured the tick to take to front desk and initial offer was complimentary water to go. After speaking to manager I was informed they cannot compensate me but *maybe* they could send me a voucher but have to speak to owner. No resolution as of yet but regardless a very disappointing and disgusting experience.

I was impressed by this hotel! I loved the decor and cleanliness was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends or family coming to the area.

Overall a nice place to sleep. Cleanliness: Hotel and room were clean. Some dated features (toilet) but overall a clean and comfortable room. Sheets were very soft and bed was very comfortable. Noise: Room was facing the hwy and you can definitely hear it, so if you’re sensitive to noise maybe ask for a non-hwy facing room if possible. There is also a conference room on the 2nd floor, and that was being used for a kids team, so a great feature if you’re travelling in a big group that you can congregate into one area. Again, if sensitive to noise, may want to ask to be away from this room if possible. Food: attached restaurant is delicious, and breakfast was very good. Service: Atrocious. Very condescending. Worth mentioning, the $10 food voucher for vip does not show on the bookings (myself and one other person both had same issue). We showed our booking confirmation emails and they still would not honour it. I called Expedia, and they called front desk but they wouldn’t pick up the phone. I then, brought down the virtual chat to show, and they still wouldn’t honour it, and said they would pick up the phone when they weren’t busy (there was one person and myself at front desk). Came back to a different person, and they said “they were told all about it, and would give me 4 chocolate bars to move on”. So if you’re booking this hotel vs another to use the $10 food voucher at the restaurant, it’s not a real thing and a big disconnect.

We had requested a pack and play for our infant. It was not in our room upon arrival and we had to request again. Another customer checking in with a disabled child had a similar (albeit much more serious) issue. The hotel seems to have an issue communicating special requests.
