Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake Hotel

The lake view and amenities were great. The hotel has everything we need- with a really good breakfast ! The staff are incredibly helpful and nice. A wonderful choice for families with children. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Great place to stay, especially with kids. Arcade and swimming pool was great. The lake was beautiful. Breakfast was great, and it was quiet.

The pool is closed certain times throughout the week until 815pm for public swimming lessons. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time as I would have booked elsewhere. This is not ideal if planning to take little ones swimming. Very disappointing!

Beautiful location, with great activities for the kids.

Overall I had a good experience. Staff were friendly, hot breakfast was great, room was clean. The room did have a bit of a scent but it’s expected with older hotels. The only negative remark is it was extremely noisy. There was kids up and down the hallway until midnight, and the walls felt paper thin. No fault of the hotel, just unfortunate.

We booked this hotel last minute while driving across the country due to a family emergency. I accidentally booked the wrong room type for travelling with our two dogs (didn’t realize you needed to specifically book pet friendly). When we arrived they upgraded our room free of charge and it was completely hassle free. The included self-serve breakfast was great. Room was clean. No issues.

A very big well layed out property easy to find, nice helpful staff, lots in the area for options to do, close to all amenities. Lots of parking Clean spacious family room suite, so ideal love this room type for our Bestwestern stays beds very comfortable and clean sofa bed clean but springs are noticeable thin matress but typical of hotel sofa bed matress we only used it for watching tv Cons: room was next to elevator so a little noise until 930pm in the hallway No cutlery or soap for dishes in the suit kirchen is more express fridge microwave sink, mini Keurig which is a plus pool area is nice temperature of pool could come up a a degree or 2 Cons adding a few more of the black mats would be great its so slippery around the pool with littles ones etc. archade was fun and the fitness room looked well taken care of, but we didn't use it. Lastly the breakfast was better than expected and had lots of good options hot and cold and portions available clean area and nice dining area looking onto the lake sun comes in nicely Cons the juice was watered down a lot and not very cold Overall great stay and we will stay again😊

We enjoyed our stay, the pool is a bit small and the small repairs in the bathroom of our room were obviously not done by a professional , (caulking and grout). That said, everything was clean, service was great, the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was good and the kids loved the arcade room.

The hotel was great for kids, but pool deck was EXTREMELY slippy and dangerous, also found pool area very very loud with the echo. No hot water in our room, heater also didn’t work. There was a party going on on third floor so no parking for guests left after 9PM. Was told to park in front of the door (that was wheelchair accessible so they wouldn’t be able to use that door). Probably will not stay here again.
