Elevetor does not work, still selling non refundable rooms and no prior notice of elevator not in service while booking. Got a room on 5th floor, we are a family of 3 (1 yr old baby) had to climb 5th floor carrying baby and our stuff and all of the baby stuff and back and forth if we forgot something in the car. The room alarm kept gping off due tk steam from washroom shower because washroom shower exhaust not working.

It looks like the hotel was “updated”. I know that cigarette smell is very difficult to remove. That said the front lobby still had a strong smell of it. The original room that we were given smelled very strongly of vomit. To the point that my whole family felt nauseous within the first minute of being in the room. We were then given a different room that thankfully had no smells other than clean. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The air vent that was in the bathroom above the mirror was FULL of dust balls. The tile in the shower had black spots on the caulking and some of the tiles.

The front desk staff was friendly & accommodating. The rooms were clean & beds comfortable. We loved the view of Lethbridge out our window on the 8th floor. We also liked the fact that we had mugs in the room for coffee. The complimentary breakfast was good with hot eggs, sausage & waffles, juice & fresh fruit. The lady working in the breakfast room was interesting, I think we was perhaps overwhelmed a bit with it being busy, but was a hard worker. Overall my family & I really enjoyed our time here & we would come back again!

The hotel is very old and it shows. Our toilet clogged one night so we had to move rooms (with a newborn). Our next room was freezing cold. We were told they weren’t able to shut off the AC unless it was a certain temperature outside. The breakfast was also terrible. I would not stay here again.

The property was easy to find and the staff were helpful. On the negative side, the breakfast was poor. No selection of fruit, juices, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, breads. The owners must never have travelled to Europe. Management was hesitant in maintaining order in the dining room. On one occasion, I saw six children/teens blocking aisles where patron were traveling with food.
