Hilton Garden Inn Edmonton International Airport

Because we used a third-party Hotels.com, the payments didn’t go through fast enough, so the hotel made my wife my grandkids and my daughter sit for one hour in the lobby, then the next day they worn them again they may lose their room as payments for the first night went through, but not the second night, this thing seems to be an ongoing problem

The Hotel was very clean, room was spacious and was close to where we visited family. The issues were with the fact they had not lactose free or gluten free food options, continental breakfast was weak at best and over priced for what you get. When checking out I asked for a receipt to be emailed and was said no, your third party provider would send me one and the person had the wrong provider and I did not get a receipt for what I charged to my room, the over priced breakfast.

I really wanted to give a good review but I am so disappointed with my stay at this Hilton garden inn. First we were told to come back in 20 minutes as our rooms were not yet ready, so we left to have dinner and then came back an hour and a half later and still only one room was ready. Then we all crammed into the one room while waiting for the other and it was now nearing 7pm(travelling with small children so that sucks!). The room was finally ready with many excuses of it being busy. We went to the pool, it was filled with some very loud team players being rough with a volleyball so we left. Very loud inside the hotel, very rude guests, I do feel sorry for the staff but at the same time would like to be treated better. I don’t know if this is Expedia’s fault for allowing me to book into a hotel which is clearly hostile some kind of team or if this is my fault for booking with Expedia. I feel that the room readiness issue is definitely on Hilton and the not telling the kids to be less aggressive and abrasive is definitely on Hilton. I like Leduc, that’s the only nice thing I have to say!

Good location for airport. Clean, Large rooms for family.

We booked for a family of 4 and there were only 3 towels in the room, so I had to go get another set. The TV remote didn't work. I had to go down and get another one and that one didn't work great - it was a pain, but I wasn't going down again. Went to the hot tub but the jets weren't working. We went to tell them at the front desk, but they knew about it. There was no sign or communication. There is always tons of people out back smoking by the back door. Feels unsafe.

The pool Was yellow. Lol. Rooms cold. Pillows were sub par. The morning start comes in hung over and stinking. Me being in recovery did not appreciate checking out with someone unprofessional and stinking like booze. Clearly a lacking family Enterprise. Skimping wherever they can.

This hotel disappointed me for the Cleanliness. One can't expect dirty and unvacuumed floor during these Covid Pandemic especially when you are traveling with family and small kids. I would double check before booking that again since I am frequent traveler to this city.
