Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton International Airport, an IHG Hotel

They did not provide towels for a family of four as reservation details stated. When towels were requested, we were told we could not have more.

There was a baseball tournament and so the kids were running wild without parents supervision especially at the pool. The bigger the splash to soak the parents (that did supervise) the better. I get that kids wanna have fun just annoying

Comfortable beds and nice pool with a slide for the kids. Breakfast in the mornings was also good

The good: My children enjoyed the swimming pool. The breakfast was enjoyable and the beds were comfortable. The not-so-good: Our room (#132) had a ceiling leak that created a constant dripping and a smell for most of the evening. When we told the staff about it in the morning, they said the room above must have flooded the bathtub. This seemed unlikely as the condition of the ceiling implied it was a persistent problem. While the dripping was annoying and used up most of our towels, I felt frustrated at the lack of accountability for the leak and disgusted that we had likely stayed in a mould infested room. (It started at 11 pm which was too late to move our sleeping children.) I felt disappointed that after sharing this issue with staff, they did not offer a discount or credit. We stay in the Edmonton area frequently to visit family and will not return to this hotel.

Major amenities like the hot tub, were closed for renovation. The hot tub and pool are a major reason we book Holiday Inn. We were not advised the hot tub was not functioning, and the second day we stayed, they closed the pool too! The one day the pool was functioning, there were about 20 kids splashing and throwing balls around so it was impossible to enjoy it as kids ran around the decks, bumping into us, there were no clean towels available, and the pool deck was littered with dozens of discarded, wet towels. While there were 3 adults with this large group of children , there was no supervision of this rowdy group of preteens and tweens. We patiently waited for them to leave for almost two hours, but they continued to monopolize the space until well past 10 PM, when we gave up and left. The pool should have some time, even an hour after 9PM where adults could also enjoy the facility. In the room, the mirrors were smeared, there was only one chair and the water pressure was insufficient to operate the shower massage head. Overall, a bit disappointed in this stay.

Perfect family stop before to fly out from Edmonton International Airport.

Was given a room smaller then I booked. And much cheaper then I paid for. My family of 6 had to share one bed.

My kids liked the pool. I liked the room.

Our stay was great, the only issue we had was at night time when kids are still running around up and down the hallway.. Some how parents don’t seem to care. We were on the 2nd floor and it does get frustrating when we are trying to get our little one to sleep with all that noise.

The rooms were loud with hallway noise - so many kids up and loud in the halls past 11pm. Walls had blood or food stain next to the bed. Water was cold for half of the shower before it warmed up
