Old world style Victorian Hotel, impeccable amenities. Nice dinner menu, but limited for kids. Breakfast buffet was warm and tasty. Nice selection.

Staff seem very junior/new to the hotel or Sydney in general. When asked how long it will take to get taxi to airport, he had to Google it. Concierge also couldn’t tell me how much time I’ll need from hotel to my conference venue. Otherwise it’s a classic hotel with great location

Room smelled like mold. When I asked to move it they wanted to move me to a different floor from my kids. We had a joining rooms.

Great location and close to the two iconic landmarks (Opera House and Habour Bridge) and public transportation (trains from the airport and ferries). The staff was extremely helpful. The room was lovely and bigger than we expected. I have already recommended this hotel to family if they plan to visit Sydney.

I stayed at Sir Stamford years prior hence my returning to their establishment. I can say it was chalk and cheese between my two experiences. I was there for a family vacation with my folks, they supposedly upgraded our room but removed one of the double beds and replaced it with a trundle bed in the main living area - safe to say no adult wants to sleep on a trundle bed for the duration of their stay. People on reception were not helpful at all and buffet breakfast were sub par. Rooms are outdated, aircon barely worked and was not decked out for the three guests (only two towels, cups, glasses etc) I will not be returning to this establishment.

Even though it is a grand old fashioned looking property, we stayed with my grandchildren and couldn't fault it. The rooms are nice and large for a family, the staff were very helpful - and best of all we could walk to the Quay and have a view of the Opera house, the Harbour bridge, jump on the ferry or the Light rail within two minutes of our front door. Fabulous location - great for families.

Great location and very helpful staff. Room was much larger than I expected. Only problem was room next door was configured so families could use both rooms and we could hear people having quite loud conversation during the night.

I travel a lot for work and try to avoid 'big box' hotels and look for something a bit more individual. This was a family vacation but we thought it'd be nice for our last two night to have some old world charm luxury.
