With 2 children playing collegiate sports, we travel quite often... and in doing so we try to find cost effective lodging as we are just there to shower and sleep. For the money, the Prairie Inn provided very clean rooms and a clean bathroom (our 2 main requirements). The furnishings are old(er) but you can tell that the (local?!?) owners take pride in their building. A clean, no-frills hotel for sure! The continental breakfast was sub-par at best, but there's a McDonalds literally next door if you need something more than what is offered.

I stay here a few times a year because I have family in the area. It is always very clean, employees are always very nice and accommodating. They are reasonably priced. It’s family friendly a homey kind of place.

Property was kind of run down and dingy. Ridiculous pricing for what it was. Never again coming to visit our kid at UWL in the official parents weekend which is apparently just a ruse for hotels to commit highway robbery!

I am a small petite woman. This was my first time traveling solo and I was nerves. I checked in late in the evening, the staff who helped me was kind and friendly. I had a wonderful stay. I would recommend Prairie Inn and Suites to friends and family!

Everything was fine until I checked my receipt after check-out. ALL of my credit card information, ALL OF IT, was printed out on the print-out. I called them when we got home and let them know that I was very upset about this. They said that they would “look into it”. We have stayed there many times as it’s convenient for family gatherings, however, this may have me seek out other options when we Need to be in the area.
