Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Green Bay

Where do I begin? This hotel was very large and had comfortable beds. That is the extent of positives. The condition of the room was awful. I'm so disappointed how filthy and run down it was. Our room had fruit flies (bad!!), no carbon dioxide detector, a very old smoke detector (well over 10 years old), the refrigerator's seal was broken and was leaking. The bathroom sink was missing the stopper and the faucet was dropping the entire time. The shower was mislabeled (hot was actually cold, and visa versa). The carpet felt moist, outlets were not fully connected to the wall and were a hazard for small children. Missing artwork on the walls with no effort to fix the holes or replace the art. And the closet door was off the track and would not close properly. Overall, it was just super gross and run down. Would not recommend, and would never stay again.

The room had exposed wires for the TV. The fireplace was broken and missing the glass that keeps the fire element covered. The end tables were sticky. The people staying next to us would chain smoke right outside their/our door and it would cause the smoke to flow into our room. They would keep the door open and their tv blasting. They were watching a violent movie with lots of swearing. We have young children, this was very unsettling to be next to.

We had a wonderful stay. We will be bringing our grandbabies to stay next month.

I was very impressed for what I paid for the night! The room was huge and all updated. I felt like I was staying inside a Mini apartment. I’m definitely going to book and stay again. Kudos on the Dove Personal Hygiene that’s exactly what we use at home and i forgot my shower stuff so to have what we already use was amazing. I didn’t have any complaints nor did the rest of my family. Thank you for the comfort and friendliness of the staff as well! They do have a strict 11pm keep the noise down policy but we didn’t mind the kids are usually in bed before that time.

They are in the process of remodeling but the rooms were roomy and comfortable. It's almost like a little studio apartment. Very kind staff. Overall i would recommend anyone of my friends/family to stay there.

Run Down. Dirty. Garbage all over. Broken windows taped up. Felt unsafe. Police in the lot both nights. If i wouldnt have paid for it already through expedia we would have left. NOT family friendly.

Bathrooms were horrible. They need to be completed gutted. Carpets and furniture stained and disgusting. Bugs crawling on kleenex box...gave us 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 days. Stairs to second story rooms were rotten wood and rickety....dangerous. cigarette butts outside room areas everywhere. Overall just needs to be deep cleaned with bathrooms completely gutted and updated. Our family had 2 rooms and were both were equally disgusting.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Sheets and towels were clean. Con: Old property. Room smelled horrible. Floor was very slippery. Our room was right next to a family living at the hotel. So they had full garbage cans right outside our room and full ashtrays. Finally hotel charged us $30 with no explanation.

Neighborhood was safe but hotel was very run down and outside was scary. It took us three different rooms to find one we could stay in. First room: tenants in another room above playing music loudly while children were running up and down stairs. Second room: smelled like smoke and furniture was looked like it was from second hand store. Third room: better than others--outside of frig. was dirty, room had dust all over night stand and lamps. Wiped things down before touching things. No way Covid protocols were used. Bathroom, however seemed clean but toilet stuck and wouldn't flush most the time. Had to take top off and manually fix. Front desk people were more concerned about eating and smoking than waiting on customers. When husband turned key in they didn't want to hear problem with stool. Would have left place but could not get money back. Scary place to stay and will never stay here again.

Booked non-refundable rate at last minute on hotels.com bc the place had a pool, but the pool was closed. Had I called instead of using the uninformed hotels.com, I would have asked about the pool and moved on to a different hotel. Booking here screwed my family out of some pool time. In addition, room was not as crisp and clean as I’d have liked, and there was no soap at all in the room and only two towels. I was too tired and to angry to call the front desk, though they had been helpful with a faulty key card issue, and instead I went to the store while out to dinner and bought my own. The ceiling was paper thin, so we heard the people upstairs stomping around all evening. There was a Packers event in town, so there were few rooms available anywhere nearby, so we settled to just get a bed and got out of there as quickly as we could the next morning. Room was nowhere near the value for what we paid.
