Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Milwaukee Brookfield

Hotel is pretty new. Room was clean and comfortable. Bath towels were thin and small in size with only two in the room. Would have preferred thicker, larger towels but what we had were clean and usable. Breakfast buffet had a good selection, was well stocked and breakfast area was clean. We were put on the quiet floor which we appreciated as we were not traveling with children and there were lots of families with kids at the hotel. Overall a good experience. We would stay again.

The room was lovely, very well appointed. But the front desk staff was completely inept. There was some type of youth athletic meet during my stay - hockey, possibly, and there were many young girls (grade school age) staying at the hotel. The running up and down the halls and screaming was addressed by the front desk, finally, as the requests made to parents/chaperones fell on deaf ears. But the lobby and adjacent dining area were completely taken over with these screaming children, to the point where you could not walk from the elevators to the lobby. There was no discipline whatsoever by the accompanying adults, the children were allowed to run wild. The next morning, the lobby and dining areas were completely taken over, again, as the front desk employees made no attempt to stop the chaos. I had to literally push my way through the crowd of children, just to get to the front desk, giving up the idea of trying to get breakfast in the dining area and checked out early. I was very disappointed in the front desk staff for not even attempting to control the situation.

The hotel was newer and overall a nice hotel. However the shower in the bathroom was not cleaned well (dried on yellow/green stuff). There were only 3 towels in 2 washcloths in the bathroom for our 4 person family. We were told our room would be refreshed on morning 2 or our 3 day stay, but it was not. When I asked about this, I was told there was no housekeeping staff scheduled that day and that I could come get more towels from the front desk. I can understand staffing issues, but rather than apologize, they made it seem weird that I would be disappointed to not have my room refreshed or that they had provided inaccurate info and it wasn’t available. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where there wasn’t housekeeping staff available daily.

We were visiting the area to spend time with family. It is a newer hotel and things are kept neat and tidy. However the beds are not great and the pillows are probably the worst hotel pillows of all time. We also had housekeeping enter our room while we were in it 3x due to the kids not closing the door properly and we couldn't hear them when they tried knocking. Not the worst hotel in the world. But we didn't sleep great at all. Bring your own pillow.
