Tru By Hilton Milwaukee Brookfield

We stayed at Tru back in August for a family reunion. It was clean, friendly staff and convenient to everything in the area. In September, we went back for an 80th birthday bash and stayed at Tru again. We were not disappointed. We'll definitely go back again and again.

I stayed Thursday-Sunday, and Friday night/Saturday morning at 1 am I awoke to doors slamming, kids running in the halls and pounding on doors. I opened my door and asked them to stop it. They continued for 20 minutes. I tried to call the front desk but the phone in the room didn't work. Same thing the next night, but the kids were pounding on the door next to mine. I asked them to stop, but they didn't. More door slamming, and I got dressed, went to the front desk, and before I said anything, the person said, are you on the third floor? I said, no, I'm on the second floor. Apparently others had complained. It turned out the parents were all sitting in the lobby enjoying themselves and the kids were unsupervised. My guess was that it was a sports team, as it was mostly teenage boys causing the issues, and there were all men parents. The front desk person talked to the parents and it stopped, but I lost a lot of sleep. I was in Wisconsin moving my elderly mother into assisted living, and this made it even more difficult. The hotel seemed cheap and unmonitored. The desk staff were looking on their phones every time I was in the lobby.

Most of the staff was excellent except one. One of the housekeeper's language was so bad I had to complain. She was in a room next to me and my kids one the phone. She was cleaning the room and swearing saying the f word,b word and the n word. So many of the letters of the alphabet was used in her swearing that I was upset. Kids were around and little ones at that. I really hope someone did something to correct it.
