Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Bridgeport/Clarksburg

The hotel was wonderful once we finally arrived. The address provided by Hotels.com did not get us to the hotel. It got us to Exit 121 and the mall. We finally called the hotel directly and were advised to get off on exit 124. Once we did this the hotel was easy to find. Not sure who's responsibility this is, but it is incredibly frustrating to not be able to find the hold when you go to the Hotels.com app and press...get directions! Just kidding, we'll get you close but not exactly there!

I really like the kitchenette in the rooms. We travel for a family reunion and appreciate that we can do some light food prep.

In this part of WV (Bridgeport / Clarkesburg) where we've often stopped over on our way home to Canada from SC, there are a number of nice hotels in the surrounding areas. We've stayed at quite a few (Holiday Inn, Microtel, Wingate, Spring Hill, Hampton Inn) over the years. This was the first time we stayed at the Hawthorne Suites hotel and we were pleasantly surprised, or should i say, blown away. The place was absolutely perfect in every way - check-in, amenities, and especially the suite we were given. Everything in th room was perfect. The room included 2 queen beds, gorgeous sleeper sofa, kitchenette (which incl. a full size fridge, f/s microwave, twin burner induction stovetop, pots and pans, dishware, cutlery, etc.) - basically everything needed for an extended stay. And to top it all, much less in price than any of the hotels I mentioned above. Also the bathroom was immaculate and modern. Well done Hawthorne Suites! I will definitely be on the lookout for your brand whenever traveling throughout the US, and I will also be recommending this particular hotel to friends and family. A true hidden gem! Thank you for a great overnight stay! Keep up the good work.

Overall it was a wonderful experience and the staff was very accomadating when we asked for things but the Expedia site was alittle confusing. The pictures for the room we picked clearly showed a full couch. This was not the fault of the hotel ands needs to be better described it Expedia site. The hotels breakfast was nice. They had hot items and an awesome pancake machine the kids loved. It was well stocked. Front staff and kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom has a sliding door with no way to locked it. Equals kids opening the door yelling are you done yet. The shower doesn't have a door to close so water kept getting on the floor.
