After booking the room I was told by a friend that lives in Tacoma that the Hampton Inn I had reserved a room at was in the worst part of town where the highest crime level was. Contacted and told the manager that I needed to cancel my reservation do to the fact that I didn’t feel comfortable staying there do to the high crime rate in the area of the hotel. I was told that the facility was fenced and had 24 hour security within the Probertys boundary’s but they could not be responsible for me and my family safety outside there property. So for that reason I chose not to stay at there hotels. I always stayed at a Hampton facility when there was one in the area where I needed to stay but from this time forward I will never again book a stay at a Hamton Inn. I feel that they don’t care about there customers feeling safe when staying at ther facility.

Great hotel but DO NOT step outside of it. Homeless camp right across the street, with tents and garbage on the streets. Tacoma is a poster child for everything wrong with Democrat ran cities.

Starting with the makeshift fence around the already built in fence around the hotel. Looked trashy and made entering the parking lot difficult. There’s a homeless encampment across the street that these fences are supposed to “protect” against. Then there was the thermostat being wonky in the room - it was either way too hot or way too cold. Then there was the fact that our room was next to the elevator (which was broken the entire stay and randomly sounded an alarm at all hours. Then the kids/dogs screaming in the adjacent rooms. Everything is keycard activated - including the elevator - which is fine but mildly irritating. I left something in the room and called the same day to ask about how I might be able to retrieve it. The gal I spoke to took down my number and told me she would call me back. It’s been 2 days. Somehow I doubt she will be calling. Overall? Eh. Mediocre at best.

Quick trip to see our son. We're from Eastern Oregon, so it was quite a shock to see all the tents around the neighborhood and between the highways. We felt safe at the hotel so tht wasn't an issue. Rooom clean and comfortable - must have been a kids tournament in the neighborhood - lots of kids running the hallways at night. Entertaining for us older folks.

This hotel was so nice! The room was luxurious and so spacious. I couldn't have asked for nice accommodations. The only downside was breakfast. We were there in the middle of the breakfast service time and they were out of bagels and English muffins (only toast left), no regular syrup (only sugar free), no fresh fruit, and only 2 types of kiddo cereal. We still managed to have a nice breakfast, but would have liked some of those missing options.

We just needed a place to stay after visiting the fair, so this worked. There was a pool and hot tub for baby to splash in. The facility has two rows of fencing around it, probably because there is a homeless camp right outside. Everything was key carded. It felt secure, was quiet, and we had no issues. But the area wasn't great for a longer-term stay.
