Love this hotel! We had an excellent meal at the restaurant and enjoyed the pool, sauna and spa at the Adrift. Also close to Astoria, OR! This made for a relaxing rainy weekend baby moon that was perfect.

What a gem of a hotel! We stayed in one of the original rooms from 1896 that has later been updated with plumbing - it was a lovely mix of historic details and modern conveniences. The bathroom had a lovely stained glass owl. My spouse and I came to get away for the weekend and this was the perfect property. I was somewhat concerned about noise, with it being a small historic inn, but there was no issue here, even with the billiards room and pub directly downstairs. The smells of the old wood and being able to take a bath in an antique clawfoot bath were highlights of my stay. Staff was helpful, friendly, and they gave us free champagne upon check in! This wouldn't be a place to take kids, and the smaller room with glass door don't give a lot of privacy for friends who want to share a room, but this is a perfect solo or romantic giveaway. If you enjoy historic properties don't miss this experience. There's also lots of spots on the outside grounds to sit outside and relax in the garden also. The hotel has a rainbow flag welcoming all here. The only downside would be if you are disabled and use a wheelchair it would be very difficult to navigate this historic building and stay here - in a historic property like this, many stairs are inevitable.

The hotel is beautiful not the same food it was 20 years ago when the book was popular.. most everyone we ran to on the day shift seemed like we were more of an annoyance than family or friends or guests.. as long as we were alone in our room or outside the hotel we felt fabulous.. The sister place adrift we borrowed the bicycles that was amazing grateful for that dinner was outrageously expensive at the drift and wasn't that good We couldn't find amazing salmon or anything all that delicious all weekend.. romantic room very comfortable bed.. confusion about the ice bucket and not so happy front guest reception.. she didn't seem thrilled to see us.. most romantic weekend I've ever had with my sweetheart no matter what we had a blast.

The hotel is very charming and cozy. All of the hotel staff were pleasant and kind. Our room had an additional bed which was a really nice surprise. The room was quite spacious too. The only negatives: No A/C and since our room was on the top floor, it was pretty warm. The fan they provide was really strong and kept us cool though. I also would have appreciated help from the staff to get our bags from the car to the room. It was a lot for a single mom and child to lug everything up three flights of stairs. I think that if I had requested the help, they would have provided it.
