We live in North Central WA, but family & friends are in Kirkland/Bothell area. So, this is where we always stay! My husband grew up in Bothell and attended Anderson School in 7th grade. We love strolling the halls and looking at the old photos. It’s nice to bring our dog, thank you for giving us our favorite room on the ground floor near the alley door exit. Really like that the morning coffee is now available in the hotel, rather than in the restaurant/check in building. So much more convenient. And the available Seattle Times newspapers were great. Can’t remember the last time we read a “real” paper!

Great rooms, great property. Needs better signs because the property is quite big and the layout is confusing at first. Other than that no complaints at all. The kids loved the pool area.

The lighting is not sufficient, so it is dark and there are no reading lights. The windows don't open in the rooms, the carpets are dark and seem not particularly clean. The dining options are very pricey and there is nowhere to sit outdoors unless you are spending a bundle on food or drinks. You can hear traffic from the rooms. There was a used tooth cleaner next to my bed. It seems the place was mostly designed for people who want to drink a lot of alcohol, which is not my cup of tea. Most of the staff are nice, but seem insincere and only nice because they have to be. I was disappointed, but it wasn't terrible. A lot of people seem to enjoy it, and I think it is quite good for families and the decor is fantastic and fun and the grounds are very nice.

This hotel is great for a vacation with family. The only downside is there is no fridge in the room.

Good overall. The room didn't feel particularly clean, toilet seat was barely attached, staff at front desk in the AM seemed unhappy to be working but this is not the norm as I have stayed at various McMenamins in the past. Parking is good. Plenty of good (not bad or great) food options at the three restaurant's in the complex and several other restaraunts to explore within walking distance (surrounding area seems relatively safe at night). Good beer selection but always have been disappointed with their cocktails (if that is your thing). It is a great stay if traveling with kids since they have plenty of areas to explore and the indoor pool is pretty great. I'll continue to stay in hopes that the staffing will improve and property is maintained.

We had a great stay with family. It was a pretty busy place because a special event was going on. I think they are just getting their post-COVID 'legs' and still working out staffing so there was a little service delay in the restaurants, but it was still fun and wait times weren't long. They accommodated our party of 10 without any problem and even had a complimentary bottle of wine in our room because they knew it was my birthday. Room was very comfortable and quiet. We will be back!
