We stayed here for a swim meet. The only thing that would have made it better, was if we didn't bring kids. They thought it was the coolest room and took turns wearing the robe and slippers provided. They enjoyed it so much they forgot about their "inside voices" and didn't want to go to sleep.

Difficult to review this property. As noted, location and room were very nice. Check in staff were very nice. Unfortunately, the hotel still uses key cards with stripe for garage (only access to hotel after 10pm) and for room. We visited family who live on the island and returned via our car at 11:30pm. The key card did not work and we could not get into the garage to enter hotel. We went to front door where key card did not work and where we saw a phone number posted for late arrival/staff to meet or for emergency. We called this number 3 times and only got answering machine. We had to check in to another hotel! Quality Inn had wonderful night desk staff and a room so we checked in at 12:30 am- they gave us toiletries as we had nothing. Next morning, we saw that we had received a text at 2:30am stating, "See that you called. How can we serve you." Unbelievable! My phone was almost out of charge in am. This was a bad situation that could have been a real problem. In am, we went back to the Marshall Suites and spoke with the manager who apologized. No mention of how they could be of help now or... We asked for a refund which they gave us and moved to the other hotel. For us, it was a major inconvenience. I can only imagine if someone had medications in their room, health issues, or other important issues - could have been awful. How can a hotel still use old key card tech and not have a night manager on premise or at least one who answers call promptly?

Great hotel for short stays to explore Bainbridge and the surrounding areas. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good with a number of restaurants and Grocery shops just across the street. Light on the amenities but the rooms were great and clean! Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!

This hotel got very high ratings, but I think it’s overrated. The room is clean, no didn’t find hairs like some other reviewers complained. But the bedding is so uncomfortable, the spring matress is so noisy, the blanket is very thin, the bed is too narrow. My kid spend hours with eyes open in the midnight sleeping in the bed. Awful experience. And the breakfast is very frugal without enough options. I won’t recommend any friend of mine to stop by here for a night.

Easy check in and access to community resources. The bed had women's hair between the sheets, the pullout bed was also dirty. Being tired with kids and then needing to change the pillowcase and bedding made us frustrated. Towels were also dirty and maybe stained. We questioned the quilt being dirty but it was too late and we had to possibly sleep in a used quilt.

The gals who checked us in were lovely and very friendly. Very helpful and responsive. The gal who checked us out the next morning, however, was incredibly curt and unfriendly. The hotel itself was lovely, great location and great treats in the lobby for the kids, but the girl at the front desk in thenmorning was a huge damper on our experience. The hotel was at full capacity so there were sno spots left when we came back in the evening, but they let us park in the handicap spot as no one was registered at the time who needed it.
