Holiday Inn Oceanside- VA Beach, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was great! We are a family of 4 and the room was great size. The room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location. We felt safe our entire stay. And the valet guys were amazing! Highly recommend! Definitely will stay here every year from now on. The restaurant is also amazing the burgers were the best!

Had microwave which was convenient with children

The hotel was clean, quiet, modern and family friendly. My family likes the area around this hotel because it is very walkable.

Our family stayed for 5 nights, and the room location, convenience and onsite restaurant were all fabulous! Another family member also booked a suite room (with a small kitchenette), which was also fantastic! Parking does tend to get full very quickly, especially during weekends. This limited our plans to drive anywhere out of fear that we'd return to no spots available. Valet parking was available, and often inconvenient because it blocked the flow of traffic through the parking lot. The food in onsite restaurant, Hemmingways, was fantastic, and a really great deal - especially when you took advantage of the kids under 12 eat free and the daily specials they offered! Fantastic hotel - with amazing staff! Thanks for a great stay!

This property was right along the shore which was convenient for us as a family to walk across to the beach

The hotel room was very clean with an excellent location near several kid friendly activities. All of the hotel staff was extremely friendly, helpful with questions, and prompt when we needed towels for the room. Being able to text the front desk for service was a bonus. The room appeared to be fairly recently remodeled. It would've been nice to have more hooks in the bathroom for a place to hang used towels and a couple more chairs in the pool area. The oceanfront view from the balcony was amazing! The heated pool was a decent temperature and not freezing. The fitness room was nice. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was also good with gluten free options. Finding out that kids eat free was a pleasant surprise!

The hotel itself was wonderful. Great facility, staff, and room. Great room layout, lots of hotels don’t offer in room microwaves these days but this hotel did. It was quiet and very little noise transfer between rooms for us. And best of all right on the beach with spectacular view. The only downside was the surrounding activity during our stay - it’s on 21st. There was a near riot one night we were there with hundreds of young kids swarming the block. A dozen police cars literally right in front of the hotel. Officers all over the place on high alert and things seemed just barely under control. It was nerve wracking trying to get from the off site parking lot (which is very close) to the hotel in the middle of that. And it definitely wasn’t safe to go walking on the boardwalk or visit any of the shops on Atlantic Ave that evening. As far as the hotel itself it was one of the best we have stayed in a long time - but mixed feelings about the safety of the block. I feel like if you stay at a much higher or lower block number this would not be an issue.

Nicer than I expected. The hotel is updated and rooms were very clean. The area is geared towards families.
