Coastal Hotel and Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront

This was our 3rd year staying here for our annual pre-Memorial Day beach trip. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, the rooms are clean (and with two sleeping spaces, perfect for anyone traveling with children who go to sleep earlier than you), and it’s easily walkable to shops, restaurants, etc. The ocean view from every room is the icing on th cake - along with the indoor pool for cool and rainy days.

My family drove down from Maryland and stayed here for spring break for a week. The breakfast was great each morning but the coffee wasnt great. They also have staff actively checking on you and collecting your plates as you finish. My wife wanted sausage instead of the bacon offered. She jokingly mentioned it to the staff and they had sausage made and brought to our table. I found out later this is a family owned hotel which gave the personal touch. (I spoke to one of the family members as she was walking around checking on guest during breakfast. She also mentioned if we stay again to call them directly because they offer a huge return guest discount far less then hotel.com (sorry hotel.com..lol)The view from the room was great. Family of three didn’t feel cramped. My son used the living room as his play area and we didn’t feel cramped as there is a superset bedroom. This also allowed us to let him sleep while watching tv in the opposite room. The only odd thing was the door opens into the bedroom. This is because the balcony faces the beach. After one day you don’t notice anymore. Each room is a ocean view so you win no matter your location. The pool is heated and has a hot tub. The pool isn’t large but 4 families used it at the same time but didn’t feel crowded.we will definitely stay again in the off season. And the garage has ample parking but height limit is 6’8. We had to take it slow in our Nissan armada.

This is a great oceanfront hotel. We stayed for Easter weekend on the 9th floor. The hotel room was very clean and spacious for two. We could hear kids above us on floor 10, though, which was not ideal. It seems like the walls and ceilings are thin. The breakfast was your normal continental breakfast; they do have a gourmet coffee machine, which is nice. The hotel does offer free parking; you can access the first few floors from the parking garage area to get to your room and elevator. They do have a hot tub that we did not have time to enjoy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel again the next time we visit the VA Beach area.

The price of this hotel was unbeatable for a two room suite with two kings - perfect for our family to give everyone some space. The parking garage doors lead straight into your floor, which is lovely. The staff were all friendly and exceptionally helpful. When I left my laptop in my room at checkout, they called immediately upon finding it and set it aside at the front desk without being asked. Rooms were recently updated and very clean. We will definitely stay again.

Wonderful, more than I imagined, provided everything we needed because my family enjoyed our stay, the only reason for taking one star from your hotel, Coastal which it only contain checking out, the front desk lady was rude and the rolling of the eyes is so childish, I'm hoping it's not racist cause we love our stay, everyone was kind and leaving your establishment should have ended in that way but I will definitely come back, she will not hold me back

Great family stay of adults! Rooms were great, clean and lots of room! The double king rooms were perfect for 2 couples. Staff was nice and breakfast area was plenty big and lots of staff on hand!

Went solo for a Beach Therapy weekend. Picked this hotel because i wanted time in the Hot Tub. I booked a regular room, ocean view. Noticed the listing said 2 king beds. Thought for sure that was a typo. 2 beds are always queen or smaller. When i got to the room, i was impressed. It really was 2 kind Kings! In 2 separate rooms. Size of both rooms was spacious. Bathroom is situated between the 2 rooms. Only one room had a sliding door for total privacy, but still very impressive. Great location on the boardwalk. Neptune's statue is in easy walking distance. Breakfast is more than your standard continental. Hours for breakfast in the weekend were also better than many hotels. I like to sleep in a little. I could do that and still not be rushed on eating. Most tables had a great view of the boardwalk & beach. And yes i got my hot tub time in. It's small, but the water was hot and lots of bubbles. Definitely coming back. This is a hotel i can bring family to. We can relax and but be in top of each other when in the room. Parking: only 1 parking space per room. Parking deck is small and tight. Which is but unusual for hotels in the boardwalk. Staff was very friendly.

The property is dated. The rooms are very average and basic. I ditched Hilton because of the previous reviews. Looks like it's a popular property for families with more children. It didn't make much sense for our family with one kid. Pros-The breakfast was good and the people serving the breakfast were very kind and hospitable. The pool is great and location/ views from the room are good. I will consider going back if there is a new building.
