Holiday Inn Express & Suites Roanoke – Civic Center, an IHG Hotel

We had to make a last minute reservation due to us getting our grandchild to her dr appointment and it was so easy to do! Once we arrived, the staff was friendly and the place was in great shape and clean. Will definitely recommend

When we were about to check out on our 4 nights say the house keeping staff only one was very rude and not polite at all ,my son who is in a wheelchair and can not walk and needs full care had a accident over night and urinate on the sheets we had down bed padding and only sheet got wet and house keeping made a big deal ,so we wash them after and she still didn't like the fact that he is in a wheelchair with no mobility and we clean the sheet and room ,she did not wont to take the sheets we left outside the door and was very rude to my wife about it and he is a child that was very unprofessional ,we said we apologize but she still had a problem, it was check out so we left

My family loves staying at Holiday Inn Express wherever we go. The Roanoke Civic Center location is a perfect example of what a person can expect. We like predictability, so we stay loyal, looking for a Holiday Inn Express wherever we roam. This location stood out to me because of the staff. The team members seemed genuinely happy. I can tell you, nothing is more valuable than a committed, friendly staff. When I visit my family once a year, I’ll continue to stay here. I like the atmosphere and the reliability. My daughter would like to send a special ‘thank you’ to the kitchen/breakfast area staff. She loved all the all the food, especially the pancakes. I’ve seen hikers stay here, older folks, families with kids and all colors. Some of the staff are Spanish-speakers. This is a safe place. There is a security guard who patrols the parking lot and cameras in hallways. This was comforting, but I don’t know how needed it is. This is a nice area. It’s right next to the Starbucks. Tip: from the fourth floor, there is a perfect view of the Star on top of the little mountain. I forget what it is called.

Clean and great service. Breakfast options were the exact same EVERY DAY and the pool was very small, shallow, and salt water but was perfect for little kids!

In a bit of a sketchy area - but the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was pretty good as well. The room was clean - fold out couch was hilariously uncomfortable, but we didn't tell our 8yr old that. ;) The indoor pool was in good condition. Tbh, next time we would look for another hotel in a different area (if traveling with 3 kids in tow).

My grandchildren came over to swim with me at the indoor pool during my stay. And we had a pizza party. No problems.

I had reserved a room at a hotel a couple pf buildings away from this hotel. Luckily, my cc was denied because the app i used to reserve the room had the wrong expiration date. Drove past the other hotel, that hotel looked disgusting from the outside. Pulled into the parking lot of this hotel. Immaculate. The lobby was clean, fresh. The check-in lady was SO HELPFUL AND SWEET! The room was clean and comfortable. A family a few doors down from our room had a screaming infant. Could only hear the child twice when I was in the hallway and they had their door open. Have not stayed in a hotel in a long time that would earn 5 stars. Thanks for the stay!

The room was nice. It did take longer for the check in process. Staff was unorganized. We have an autistic child and the motel was not autism friendly. We were told that he he starts making a lot of noise and if people complain then we would probably have to leave.

Went with little kids and the pool is a big deal to them. I put that in my search options when looking for a place, then got there and found a sign on the pool door saying that it was closed. I want that information prior to booking, so I can decide if that is the place for me to take my family.
