The Watermark Hotel

We arrived early for an early check-in offered through hotels.com for an additional fee. We could have checked in at that time, but we opted to wait for a room to become ready that overlooked The Perch outdoor 11th floor park. We had lunch downstairs at Wegmans while we waited, because the opening time for the food trucks was changed from 12pm to 3pm. But we did check in at 2pm and got a room on the top floor close to the elevator. We had a junior king suite with a comfortable little living area, a long table with a desk chair and a mini kitchen. It was just right. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Toiletries were in refillable full-sized bottles. Full breakfast was included and it was great. Enjoyed the 12pm check-out time. We had dinner at Wren. Very elegant. Loved the sashimi appetizers and fresh doughnuts. We really enjoyed our stay!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed, it’s family and pet friendly, good price for where it is. The room is big and clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast buffet was wonderful, the staffs are great! They have a dog park, mini golf, entertainment area, it’s a great place for a family trip. Also the Wegmans grocery store is downstairs, if you don’t want to eat out, that’s a great option. The Metro station is only few minutes walk from the hotel. We all love this hotel and will definitely come back next time when we’re in DC.

Clean, convenient hotel, friendly staff, great for families

The Watermark has an outstanding atmosphere. Open spaces with a modern but warm decor that invite you in. Front desk staff is efficient, but not particularly warm. My room was beyond my expectations. Very clean, modern, spacious and with amenities that made me think I could live there. A wonderful surprise was the park with live music and activities for families. Breakfast was complete and delicious. A bit far from the main DC attractions but literally steps from the metro which makes it easy to go everywhere. Can’t wait to stay there again!

This is our second stay at this hotel. We love the location and the hotel rooms. This time, the air freshener used was so strong, it was HORRIBLE! We checked in late in the day and asked the front desk if they could do anything. The offered to put an ozone machine in the room the next day (since you have to be out of the room). We spent the night, woke up feeling horrible and asked the next day for the air to be cleaned while we were out. It did make a difference, but was still very scenty when we returned. The halls and elevators are also very strong smelling. Each day, it would take us a few hours outside before our sinuses would recover. It is so sad, because we absolutely love this hotel and the rooms and they are close to our family when we come to visit, but we physically felt horrible each day that we may have to look elsewhere next time. Other than that, our toilet seat was broken (which I am surprised housekeeping didn't do anything about) and the mildew in the shower was disappointing. Parking can also be a problem if there is a show in the event hall downstairs. It is the same parking lot, and it backs up getting in when guests are entering. It is pretty annoying to be returning from a day out and there not being a separate entrance for hotel guests.

We liked our room however we were asked that instead of two double beds, we are upgraded to a one bed room that’s bigger and a folding bed for a family of three, it was bot a bigger room.it felt more cranp than our previoua sray with 2 beds

This hotel is fabulous! We stayed in a junior suite but it's the best suite ever! We will be back on a regular af least every 2 months.
