We were “upgraded” according to the front desk! I was traveling with my elderly mom, daughter and son booked a double queen room. We were Upgraded to a King suite! Told the front person this did not work for our family…and was told It was this room or they could refund my money. We had driven 12 hours that day and was too tired to attempt to find another hotel! Didn’t sleep at all on that pull out sofa with my 6ft son! The hotel design is terrible and very loud! Noticed a large group of baseball players and assume that group is why we were upgraded! They stated bc I booked 3rd party (Expedia) that it gives them the right change the booking to suit what works for them.

My family and I stayed here during spring break and things didn't go as planned with our room. To start off we were put in room 303 which was located directly over the bar and directly in front of the elevator. So it was constantly noisy traffic from the other guest the entire stay. We thought we had a decent room until I found an old sock behind the nightstand which wasn't really a big deal but it made me question how thoroughly the room was clean. Instead i said mistakes happen. Then the overall disappointment came from the bathroom. Shower water was lukewarm and never got warmer let alone hot for a hotel. Yet the 2 sinks in the room had hotter water than the shower. On top of that the shower did not drain. Me and my family had to stand in atleast 2 inches of water because the shower did not drain. We had to wash our feet off once we stepped out the shower. Also we didn't have the proper amount of towels for everyone to take a shower. I even went to the front desk to ask for more towels and they didn't have any. We had a "Suite that sleeps 4" but only had towels for 2 people. The toilet paper was never changed. We were left with less than a half of a used-roll and only 1 new roll. For a 4 person suite. Pillows were the worst. If you stay at this hotel I suggest you lower you expectations. Because "this" Embassy Hotel has definitely lowered their expectations.

Zach and Alex were great as was Abigail or Abby the bartender. But KATHRYN IS THE REASON I AM GIVING SUCH A TERRIBLE REVIEW. She was RUDE RUDE to my family, she wasn’t at the bar when we showed up, never apologized after we waited 20 minutes and then proceeded to argue with me and family members. She is NOT EMBASSY SUITES quality. She needs to go and fast and Abigail needs to replace her. Abby was kind, engaging, thoughtful, worked well will Zach was attentive to me and all of our family members. She is the EPITOME of what an Embassy Suites employee should be. Kathryn was a disgrace. If there were an opportunity to give a minus 10 review, Kathryn should get it. Also, they are terribly understaffed in housekeeping and they can do better.

We stayed for the weekend. We arrived approx 3:30 and checkin was at 3:00. We had to wait for the desk attendant to “return” to check in. After checking in we found out there were families there for a soccer tournament. There were about 100 kids staying there. That wasn’t the problem. The problem was that all these kids were running up and down the halls yelling well into the night. While putting our belongings away my husband found a bra on the floor behind the nightstand, I had socks on and had dog hair on them and Monday woke up and couldn’t shower because there was no hot water. It’s not a bad hotel, I guess just a bad time for us to visit. The breakfast offered was good. They offer made to order omelets.

I love Embassy Suites! I am an avid traveler and stay at this hotel often. I loved this location. The room was extremely spacious and had ample space for a family. The hotel was lovely was plenty of common space. It was fantastic. However, a grow would be to give attention to the fitness center as a far as temperature. The temperature in the fitness center was dangerously hot. In fact, I am not even sure the thermostat worked. I did mention it, but it remained hot throughout my stay (picture). Also, the unit we were assigned had outlets and an iron that didn't work. That was frustrating because we waited over 30 minutes to get a new iron. Maybe it would be helpful to check the rooms before someone stays for these types of issues. Overall, it was a good stay!

My flight got cancelled late at night and I found this hotel with a 24 hour shuttle. I called and got the manager, Magdy, and he immediately sent the driver to come get me and my 4 kids. It worked perfectly as the van driver, Jose, was AWESOME and and arrived right when we got outside to meet him. We fit all 5 of us in one room with comfort and took a 4:30 AM shuttle they share with another hotel to the airport in the morning. They really KNOW Dulles airport and the place was immaculate and friendly. I will always come back to here because they are so proactive!!
