Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Rocky Mount, an IHG Hotel

Check in was rough because lady at front was very rude. In addition, hotels.com virtual card failed which made it look like our cArd failed so when we have 4 tired and asleep kids and just want to get in a bed for the night, I'm dealing with phone calls to try to fix the problem at the front desk. Never got the cot we asked for. Room had microwave and fridge but no dishes or utensils. Cable was unplugged so we had to maneuver behind to plug in. Multiple spiders in room. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were so low that our whole family couldn't get showers. Front desk told me 10 and 11 year old when they went to collect a pillow to have their mom come back and put a credit card on file which was confusing and stressful for them since they are kids. Whole experience was less than superb.
